Hoistway: Elevator Aptitude

Hoistway is an independent study app for the Elevator Industry Aptitude Test (EIAT), the entrance exam for elevator apprenticeships in the United States. The exam is given by NEIEP and IUEC when they take on apprentices. Hoistway is not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by either organization, and it contains no actual test questions. WHAT YOU GET • 200 original practice questions across Reading, Mechanical and Math, the three sections of the exam • A worked explanation for every question, and the reason each wrong option is wrong • Clear diagrams for gears, pulleys, levers and other mechanical setups • A 20-question diagnostic that scores each section and tells you where to start • Practice decks by topic, and a deck made from the questions you got wrong • A full 100-question mock in the exam's proportion (35 reading, 35 mechanical, 30 math), with a question sheet, flags, and changeable answers until you submit • Pass or fail against the 70 percent mark, plus your pace per section BUILT FOR HOW THE EXAM WORKS The EIAT is a paper exam: you move freely between questions and change answers until you hand the sheet in. The mock behaves the same way. The exam is a gate, not a scoreboard: it is pass or fail at 70 percent, and your rank on the hiring list comes from education, experience and the interview. This app does not invent score tiers. ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION Try 35 questions free. A single in-app purchase unlocks all 200 questions and unlimited full mocks, with no account, no subscription and no expiry. Everything works offline. LANGUAGES The app is available in English, Spanish, French and Russian. The questions are in English, like the exam. ABOUT THIS APP No official time limit for the exam is published, so Hoistway offers three pacing options and says so on screen. Scores in this app do not guarantee any test result, apprenticeship placement or hire.
