About
Hold: Kegel Timer is a pelvic floor training timer with one job: tell you when to squeeze, when to relax, and keep an honest record of what you did.
A workout is four exercises, done in order:
Warm Up - squeeze 2 sec, relax 3 sec
Long - squeeze 5 sec, relax 8 sec
Medium - squeeze 3 sec, relax 5 sec
Short - squeeze 1 sec, relax 2 sec
Start an exercise and a ring counts the phase down while a haptic marks every change, so you can put the phone down and look away. There are no rep targets - you do as many as you can and tap Stop. When all four exercises are done, the workout is saved.
DURING A WORKOUT
- A 3-2-1 countdown before every exercise, so the first squeeze is never a surprise
- A haptic pulse on every squeeze and release - train with the phone face down or in a pocket
- The screen stays awake while an exercise is running, even on the long sets
- Stop whenever you want; the reps you already did are kept
- Close the app mid-workout and it picks up exactly where you left off
YOUR PROGRESS
Every finished workout goes to History with the reps for each exercise, the total squeeze time in seconds, and how that compares with your previous workout.
Total seconds is the number worth watching. Reps alone are not comparable - thirty one-second squeezes and thirty five-second squeezes are very different workouts, and only seconds put them on the same scale.
STAYS OUT OF THE WAY
- No account, no sign-up, no email address
- No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases
- No internet connection required, ever
- Nothing is collected and nothing is sent anywhere - your workouts live only on your iPhone
- Dark interface, readable in a dark room
ONE WORKOUT A DAY
The app keeps one workout per calendar day. Finish it and the day is marked done; come back tomorrow. It is a habit, not a leaderboard.
Hold: Kegel Timer is a training timer and a log. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat anything or give medical advice. If you have symptoms or a medical condition, talk to a healthcare professional about whether these exercises are right for you.
