Excellent
Simple connectivity, works great with Ableton and M4L
Very cool if you like using movement as music!
The integrations are great, having a large range of inputs and sources of data for your music makes it extra fun. They just added Ableton Link support too which adds sooooooo many more ways to use this! I'm excited to see every update for this app.
Fascinating Midi Modulation
This app is by far one of the most creative I’ve ever used. It opens a door to modulating sound by wind, phone sensors, open street map data, and so many more sources. On top of that you have complete control over how to format and scale these values into either midi or OSC messages. It’s brilliant and will certainly make you more engaged and aware of your surroundings. Once you have a collection of data sources selected it’s easy to send them as cc’s to whatever midi app you want. If you are into electronic music it’s something you must own.

Great tool
This app allows all kinds of input from “the real world” to virtual synthesis. I’m sure this can be done other ways but if one wants to just get to it this makes the process quite easy and smooth. It’s brilliant.
Just Download It
I was hesitant to download because of price. After downloading it no longer felt expensive. This is a quality app, lots of fun and importantly respectful of your privacy.
Response from developer
Many thanks for your review. We have many exciting features coming up for Holonic interactions with the real world in the new year. All the best and good luck!
Great idea poorly implemented
I expected a lot more from this app. It is not intuitive and overall is poorly designed. I have as unable to get any midi out from the device while the Osc seemed to work well. I bought it in conjunction with Holon which also suffers from similar problems.
Fall into the Rabbit Hole
As a previous reviewer has said this is an amazing app that allows you to link internal or external instruments and play them with a bevy of sensors. Works best with mirack and on pachstorage.com there are a host of templates that you can use with mirack. I have just bought a movesense sensor, since I was using this on an ipad and moving the ipad around to make sound is ok but a little cumbersome, I reckon used alone on the iphone it would be ideal. But now with a tiny sensor I can dance and the sensor triggers music. Welcome to the new world of music making as you fall down the Rabbit Hole that Holon.ist creates!

One of the most interesting music apps around
This has to be one of the apps with the most potential for creative sonification of data. I have experimenting with this app for some time and I’ve barely scratched the surface.
It is amazing and keeps on opening up new possibilities.

Works as described
No problems
Expensive and a bit clunky but worth it
I was confused at first but for an extra 4.99 I can now control Ableton link bpm with my heart rate from the Apple Watch sensor
Response from developer
Thanks for the review and very happy to hear you use heart rate to BPM with Apple Watch, it's such a fun feature. We promise clunkiness will be removed in future versions.
