It’s amazing
Nothing else like it (or the Mutant app) a bit like learning a new language, a bit like a living thing… perfect use of iPad touch and interaction.
Unintuitive and confusing
I use a lot of different music production and creation apps and systems. I love the idea behind this app, but it is so complex and confusing that I was stumped for the first 2 hours I spent trying to figure out how to much make some sounds!
I was totally lost most of the time, even after reading the whole guide. The guide is almost useless. While it contains a lot of information about what each feature does, it never really tells you how to start from the beginning, what to tap and where.
With almost every screen there are things that appear to be something you can or should tap or drag around but nothing happens. Then other things on the screen suddenly spring to life, but you don’t know why and what it actually does. What it most needs is a getting-started section that says: do this, then that.
The idea is cool, but it is far from an intuitive and visual way of making music. It was so confusing that I never got beyond accidentally making some noises, but I’m still not sure how I did it.

Worth the investment
This is a deep and ingenious audiovisual ecosystem and for that reason it really cries out for a proper manual. But if you invest the time, the in-app guide and help files will reveal a whole new way of (literally) looking at music.

Big ups to the developers U MADE IT HAPPEN!, Audiobus in effect, beautiful changes to the workflow.. so psyched this was sitting on my back burner fo ages, understanding the beauty of it but unable, for a number of reason, to incorporate it into my workflow. NOW it’s never coming off my pad. MUTANT is killer too, especially now, with its integration as well, a must buy. Screw ur wig on tight this thing gonna knock ur socks off. a work of Art. Congrats and well done to the team that made this happen
