Holy Reads Audio Playback Issue
I really enjoy using Holy Reads and appreciate the Christian content available on the app. However, there is a persistent issue with the audio playback that I would really appreciate the team looking into.
Whenever I’m listening to an audiobook or audio summary, the audio will suddenly stop before I finish listening. Even when I restart it and begin listening again, it will stop again after a while. This keeps happening consistently, which makes it very difficult to finish a full audiobook or message.
It would be great if the Holy Reads team could investigate and fix this issue so the audio can play continuously without randomly stopping. Also, having the app remember exactly where the audio stopped would be very helpful, so users don’t have to start again from the beginning.
I genuinely enjoy Holy Reads, but this issue is really affecting my experience with the app. I hope it can be addressed in an upcoming update.

Perfect for visual learners like me.
Not 5 stars but close.
I have not found a way to remove the books from My Library > Reading, which were placed there just because I had checked out those books. This is counterintuitive. Could you just add a context menu under triple dots or some other such thing to remove those? Otherwise, very good!

A Truly Life-changing App
This app is life-changing. If you’re struggling to get fed spiritually, I highly recommend using Holy Reads. After the Bible, it’s one of the best tools I’ve used in my spiritual walk. The content is very well-written. The audio is human made. It’s not AI or cheaply made.
This app is a Godsend!
I used to love to read, but this menopause brain is a beast! Before that it was my raising kids brain. It’s been years since I felt I could focus on a book long enough to get it read. This app enables me to get the gist of books on my “to read” list in a short time. I’m able to glean tons of spiritual truth from many authors more efficiently. This app doesn’t replace books; it provides readers with a way to read summaries and then make the choice to get the full book when time permits. Highly recommend!

Walking with Christ is not a journey one should ever be on alone. Although everything is found in the Bible, if not careful, things can be interpreted the wrong way. This is why this application is so helpful. It’s full of great books from many different authors to help dissect the Bible, give it meaning and different perspectives without stepping away from the truth. In all things it is wise to use discernment, so the summaries are very helpful in deciding what to read in whatever season I’m in. I highly recommend this app!

Amazing application
Great app, because I have very little time to read books. But while I'm on the road, I can listen to a book in half an hour! This is brilliant! After all, I have not yet met such a way that a large book can be conveyed to the reader without losing its meaning!

Like it won’t let me read or listen to anything else but like one book
Buggy
Very buggy! More than half the times the app will not understand that you already completed the book summary even after pressing “complete.” App does not recognize new book summary when you press play. I stead it’s stuck on the last book summaries you read and will do nothing! Glitchy videos that will play the same chapter over and over instead of transitioning! Good idea! I have the Headway app and always wanted to have something similar for Christian content!

Read books
How does one remove books from the read list. I got a book that comes on in the audio section no matter what I try to listen to. I am a paying customer.

This app is great. It’s helped me to finally read more books that I just didn’t have the time for before. Short and concise summaries that make the point of the book clear. Audio and video options are helpful as well. Glad to see more and more books added on a regular basis. Super valuable!
Great way to explore books!
The Holy Reads app has provided a great way to explore a variety of books on specific topics. I like that summaries are detailed but concise. The summaries are straightforward which makes them easy to read but also seem to maintain the voice of the author. This was mostly noticeable when reading summaries of books by C.S. Lewis. I prefer the option of reading the summaries but it’s nice to have the audio to listen to while cleaning the house or driving. I’m excited to see how this new app grows!
