Emphasizes how each verse is important
I really like this app. I haven’t read the Bible in too long of a while and I think part of the reason was because I read it like a book. I didn’t take time to really look at and think about each verse. I downloaded this app because I’m giving up social media and was looking for something good that I can scroll with positive feedback. I was surprised because this literally shows the Bible 1 verse at a time. At first I was mildly annoyed because I had to scroll up for the next verse, but as I read it I found myself really taking in each verse without the pressure to move on to the next to finish the chapter. I’ve never read the Bible this way, but honestly I really like it.

This has really helped me build a daily Bible reading habit. The developer is right: reading in this way helps take advantage of how I already use my phone. I’m scrolling, but now it’s not always on Instagram. And I have ADHD, so seeing one verse at time really helps me lock in.

Exactly what I was looking for
This app is great. It’s simple, straightforward, and has just enough customization that it feels personal or to you. I love having the ability to just sit outside and read the Bible vs doomscrolling on socials. It’s simple, uncomplicated, and just lets you read the Bible. That’s it. That simple. 10/10 to the creator. Great app.

Holy scroll is amazing
This app really helps me get closer to God and spend more time with him. I have realized that even though it is the same thing, it is a lot easier for me to get in a habit of reading the Bible on this app than it is in person. The scrolling factor really helps me focus on one verse at a time instead of getting stressed from all the words and chapters on each page. One thing that could make this app better is adding the different translations like NLT as soon as possible but other than that this is the best app I have on my phone and I am very thankful to have it.

The app shows one verse at a time, allowing you to read chapters in little bits at a time - another positive, you have the opportunity to think and meditate on God’s word. I love the settings and love the idea of sharing the app with others to unlock more themes.

This isn’t your average Bible App. Most Bible Apps are just the standard Bible reading experience. Holy Scroll strips that down to simple verse by verse reading. The result? A distraction free reading that allows the verse to stand alone as you read it, drawing your mind to focus on the text. I really enjoy this app as it allows me to slow down.

Good user experience
I like the idea of a verse by verse scroll. I enjoy the aesthetics, you can choose your own background, font, and scroll style. I look forward to there being more translations available soon hopefully.
