Frequently crashes
I can’t get past loading the plants without the app crashing.
Sadly, not what I was hoping for.
I’ve been looking for an app to help lay out some basic beds in my yard. Thought this might work. I downloaded it thinking I could print a garden plan based on the plants I placed in the AR design. Unfortunately the app does not produce a garden plan. It only gives you plans for the pre designed gardens already in the app. Disappointing.

App won’t even load on startup.
App won’t load. It starts up, changes orientation to landscape, then has a background with a white daisy. No progress from there after 10 minutes. Multiple attempts to close the app and reload. No progress. Same issue.
Tried to get assistance on the product support page. Filled out all requested info, detailed my problem… it won’t submit. “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” No thanks. I’m done.

Can’t get past postal code entered it several times and I can’t pass the first screen garbage

Don’t…
…unless you’re an experienced landscape designer who is already very experienced in using design tools, this app is pretty much useless. There’s minimal in app support, and no online support. There’s multiple HomeOutside apps, but they do not interface. You can’t import a photo into the app to design around, and all you get is the planner app is a bunch of blobs of color to move around. As I say, all this may not be problematic for experienced designers, but this app is certainly not for a newcomer.

I’ve been wanting to update my landscape, but I don’t have a lot of talent or knowledge of what plants to choose. This app makes it incredibly easy to visualize different options with tips/suggestions. I especially like that it knows which Zone I’m in to provide relevant planting options for my climate.

Great tool
I love this app as a way to visualize ideas I have for my space. I am new to gardening so learning which plants work in different areas is really helpful. I love that it offers me the ability to buy my selections with free delivery too, instead of having to make a big list and search for the selections. It makes choosing less stressful and more fun. Also it’s free.

Fun to mess with and USEFUL!
As a Home Outside customer (in our last home), this update is such a great tool! It really puts you in the drivers seat so you can get experimental. Would definitely reco - even the free version is great!
App stuck
App is buggy and stuck on 3 pages - will not let me design anything at all. Noplace to download an existing photo, etc. Looks cool, but doesn’t seem to work
Generated New Ideas For Our Property
This app helped us create a new vision for our yard, including much more unusual plantings than we knew possible.
Non-AR Option
This app would be very useful for professionals if it let you create 3D designs without having to physically be at the location or walk around with your iPad.
I can’t believe I paid for this
There don’t appear to be a way to upload a photo of my yard to design from there. Meaning that I would have to stand outside in the snow and negative temperatures to start designing my yard using this app. Oof. Half-baked idea. Way too expensive. Don’t waste your money.

Why offer a free version when you clearly don’t want to. I would rather you be honest and upfront. Hey this app cost money to use and let the person decide if they want to download or not. Trash. There’s nothing more to say

Overpromised. Underdelivered. Trash. Keeps asking for my zip code each time i try to do anything and can't place any plants or do anything at all. Lots of in app purchase.

Clunky
I find the app clunky and complicated to use. Good thought here but the tech needs to function. Not enough plants and I don’t feel comfortable with the pairings. I’m going to look for a different app.
it’s a joke
subscription for what? Very few plant options,no choices , nothing worth to be paying for. I canceled in a minutes, but will be charged for whole month! Ashamed..
Disappointed! I tried the free version, won’t accept any zip code
I put in my zip code then tried several and shows an error . Can’t move forward stuck with always trying to get the zip code to work. I won't be purchasing this if I can’t get the app to even start with the zip. What is wrong with this app?
