Os25 home app is a disaster

New design is a disaster — impossible to see clips for a specified camera easily. Somehow with way more missing clips,,,,

Was good with old home app.

But the new one just not usable….disaster….

Residents Keep Loosing Homes

What a disappointing user experience. The resident keep loosing shared homes from the owner. It cannot even do the basic thing.

So many glitches

This app has so many bugs especially with hue loghts

One star is generous

HomePods constantly start playing in the middle of the night linked to this garbage app. If I hadn’t bought two HomePods already I wouldn’t go near Apple for playback devices. It just doesn’t work.

Never loads

Spins on “Loading Accessories and Scenes” forever. Looks like people have had this issue for a decade and Apple doesn’t care, awesome.

Always Glitchy

We need an update to fix these issues.

What is this? I’ve never been on it.

OK, first of all let me get something straight so why does this app even exist? Nobody goes on it for the nine years of my life. I’ve never pressed this button. I don’t like this this game or whatever is it called home even like what is this like Bruh?

Does NOT work!

This app does not work. It never loads and just keeps spending while the screen says “Loading accessories and scenes” what is this app even for, I don’t understand its purpose if it never opens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still does not work. Every time I open the Hue lights app I get a pop-up notification to tap on the app and this happens every time. Why is this happening?

Would give it 0 stars if I could

Planned obsolescence at its finest. My 'home' devices such as multiple HomePods stopped communicating properly with my iPhone shortly after the warranty period. Hours of Apple forums and updating iOS / restarting devices are short term fixes only. For the amount of money spent, this is truly atrocious. Do better Apple!

The nanny of all home automation

Perhaps it would be better described as Pennywise. It takes it children and hide them away to prevent and for being exposed to the dangerous and unknown other elements of your already secure home network. This application is like a bully always push, pushing their way to the front of the line. I would have nothing to do with this application, except that I periodically have to install it and then connect a device to it and then do some other network magic to locate the IP that it is choosing to hide from me just so I can integrate device directly into my home network. Even devices that aren’t Apple devices..

Siri is a moron

after I cancelled Apple Music, all kinds of things stopped working. Music I purchased stopped being available to play, for example. My HomePod mini locked me out so I can't change any settings. (Thankfully my 2 HomePods didn't lock me out.) And Siri started telling me that she doesn't recognize my voice and that I need to turn on voice recognition in the Home app. THERE IS NOWHERE IN THE HOME APP TO TURN THAT ON! WHAT A COMPLETE P.O.S.!!!

Matter remains buggy

iPhone 17 Pro Max with iOS 26.6.1

In Apple Home, Matter often won’t pair or connect with new Leviton 0-10v Dimmers. 1 in 10 attempts may pair and each effort is slow and tedious.

Matter works in the MyLeviton App but I had to temporarily stop adding Matter SmartHome Dimmers and Switches while awaiting Matter 1.6 in iOS 27.

Hue Perifo Track Lights Lights using Zigbee are slick and work very well with Apple Home. Hue sells lights that can adjust colors from 2700K to 5000K or 6500K but no actual preset marked with those titles, making precise color accuracy settings more confusing and unnecessarily difficult.

But overall, Apple Home adds powerful new lighting and utility automation controls and voice commands to AppleTV or HomePod, a surprising capability many customers still may not know can be achieved so easily (though not inexpensively).

During my install, Leviton 0-10v Smart Dimmer prices on Amazon fluctuated between $74 and $108 for the same product.

Still, the Apple Home App is about to come into its own with a major iOS 27 update.

So secure…

Maybe because it won’t actually connect to any devices? No MATTER what they are. (see what I did there?)

Garbage by design

Things you'd think would be easily controlled in software, like "my spouse would also like to have a key to my house" require you to buy an Apple TV or speaker to act as a "hub". On top of that the app crashes constantly and the QR code reader can't seem to read a QR code properly. Did Apple fire its team for a failed project launch and just... leave it technically functional?

i never write reviews

so you know this is bad

this isnt functional at all. i JUST set up all my lights on my new wifi a couple of weeks ago and suddenly nothing works. nothing. not a single bulb. im sorry but that’s not the lights if it’s EVERY BULB. thats the damn APP.

for the love of god apple you make so many lovely functional things why cant you make this thing WORK

Can’t set timer for outlet

Pretty sad.. in the big 2026

PLEASE FIX THIS MAJOR BUG

This app has been rendered useless by the notification bug hit’s experiencing. The notification filtering no longer works, so that means if you want to be alerted when there’s someone at your door, you also get no less than 50 “motion detected” notifications for a leaf or shadow. It spikes my heart rate unnecessarily and makes this app unusable

Apple’s big miss

Completely locked out of the Home App despite backing it up on iCloud. It’s perpetually circling on the “Loading Accessories and Devices” screen…. Tried every fix possible on the web and apple support. None work.
Invest in another software platform for your home automation. I have 40 lights, TVs, smart outlets no longer accessible.

Oh my freaking goodness you guys 🤦‍♂️

All of you should be ashamed of yourselves this app was nostalgic for me since I got my first device it wanted to warn me about critical alerts and everything was smooth. This is the best app for my Apple and the Apple quality for this app I think it wanted me to remind me of a power outage ahead don't cry if you have a critical alert
