OG app was amazing
The original Homework Pal was great for college and postgrad. Then they just decided to “update” it. AKA made an entirely separate app called “Homeroom”.
They said “don’t worry you can transfer the data”. But when you opened Homework Pal half of your original data was missing, so what little you are able to transfer is just gibberish.
The Homeroom app doesn’t allow you to delete courses. That function totally breaks the app. And this function is broken TEN months since the app was launched.
Newer rarely means better.

Come back Old Homework Pal :((
The new update is nice and all but it’s really over complicated in my opinion. I feel like both versions of the app should be made, the simple one (how it was before) and the more complex one (how it is now), so people could navigate how they want to organize their work
New app is NO good.
I really liked this app for its simplicity and ease of use. The layout was clean, and I appreciated being able to check off assignments as I completed them. Unfortunately, the new version feels overly complicated, and it’s lost the very features that made it appealing in the first place.
What’s even more frustrating is that the update was released in the middle of the semester. For an app designed specifically for students, it would’ve made much more sense to roll out major changes during the summer. To make matters worse, the transition erased all my saved assignments and schedule, forcing me to start over from scratch.
Sadly, this experience pushed me to switch to a different app—one that keeps things simple like the original version did

Don’t even bother
As others have said, they just delete your information mid semester. Not worth going to their new app as it’ll just happen again.
Deleted All My Assignments…
You guys make a new app and just clear this one?? I followed the course schedule and put all my assignments for the whole semester on there and it’s just deleted without a warning… If you wanted to release a new app then either don’t close the old one, or release it during the summer when less people are in school. Just an awful decision.

Locked me out :( RIP homework pal
I really valued this app for its simplicity and nice UI. All my assignments for the quarter were added in advance. Today I woke up and could no longer access any of the info I had so nicely organized, because the app has locked itself behind an ad for their *new* app, which adds new features I don't want. I wouldn't care as much if it gave me some option to port over all that information, but it didn't. Extremely frustrated and annoyed because now I have to redo my entire HW calendar on a new app. Will NOT be using their new product. RIP homework pal, you were an excellent tool.

Yall just deleted all my events with this new app you introduced idk when any of my appointments are cause I had it all in there why would you delete it and take away access with no warning and screw you guys for making it have a paid version now I’ve been using this app for years because it was so great and simple and FREE

Was perfect
Great app, but they decided to stop letting you use it and just tell you to get their new app. No warning and won’t let me access all the homework tasks I logged! So now I have to sift through notes and reorganise homework all over again. Nightmare I’m very busy and we have 15 or so homework tasks!

i've used a ton of trackers and they all are either too cluttered, have too many ads, or glitch like crazy. this app was so easy to use and had everything i needed. it's simple, and that's what i need for homework tracking :)

Simple, easy, and organized
It’s helped me without my whole time at college and is by far the best app I’ve used. I’d 100% recommend and it’s super helpful to stay organized and in the know for homework to get done on time.

BEST HOMEWORK APP EVER
This app is so perfect! It has such a simple, easy layout and it’s great for tracking assignments. Anything beyond this would be unnecessarily complicated.
pretty good but with a little lack of accessibility
I am visually impaired, and I use VoiceOver with Homework Pal every day at school. I honestly think they need some accessibility improvement with like the date selecting but it is pretty good overall. It is very simple and it pretty much suits my needs for what I currently have to do
So simple, worth trying.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this app is so helpful I might as well. Homework Pal is super simple in terms of interface, and it lets you color code your homework by the course which I LOVE. I have 2 different AP classes this year and it gets hard to remember what’s due and when. But this really gets the job done and I don’t have to worry about excess steps. Plus you can see all the assignments you’ve actually completed in a separate area, and it makes me feel accomplished lol. Definitely check it out!

Does what it needs to and does it well. Isn’t as pretty as some other apps, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Helpful and extremely easy to use.
Homework that might help if we had it on this app
We should be able to make our own flash cards and documents on here but it’s does help you keep organised we could have word documents and flash cards that we can make our self and also - should be somewhere easy that we can access it would help even more if it was free and you didn’t have to pay like it is now 🫠

This is a brilliant app I love using it to keep track of my work but I wish it sent notifications tell when to work and when thing are due.
