Fantastic app; needs widget improvements

The app is fantastic and really helps me keep an eye on my car’s status. There are a couple of things that could be better:- if the app is reinstalled, the TPMS information disappears and needs to be registered again. Also, It would be great if the TPMS info could be a widget that can be seen right from the Home Screen and in the CarPlay widgets screen, without having to open the Honda Connect app.

Barely usable for what it’s supposed

I bought a Honda expecting the connected-car features to work as advertised. The app has been a letdown from day one. Login sessions drop constantly and force re-authentication. Remote commands either fail silently or take several minutes to register, which defeats the purpose of remote anything. Vehicle status and location data lag well behind reality. The UI is slow and dated, and error messages tell you nothing useful about what went wrong.

For a car in this price bracket, the software experience should not feel like an afterthought. Support has been of little help. Fix the reliability basics before adding features.

The software feels outsourced and abandoned. Please invest in a proper iOS rebuild.

The Honda Connect app is user-friendly and offers useful features with a clean interface. Overall, I have had a good experience using it. However, the My Trip feature needs improvement, as the trip details and distance are not always accurate. Improving the accuracy of this feature would make the app even better.

Wrong Notifications by Honda connect app– Needs Immediate Fix

I’ve been using the Honda Connect app for a while now, but recently it’s been generating incorrect and confusing notifications. Today, while my car was securely parked, the app sent alerts about ignition on, geofencing breach, and over-speeding—all while the vehicle wasn’t even in use. Later, it again showed a notification for ignition off.

I’m confident this is a bug, as the car was stationary the entire time. Such misleading notifications can cause unnecessary panic, especially in real-time situations where vehicle status matters for safety and tracking.

This issue needs immediate attention. I’ve relevant screenshots for your technical team’s reference and further investigation. Kindly look into this and resolve it at the earliest

The app can do so much more than what it is doing now. It can have linked videos tailored to made for specific models to demonstrate the many good features of the car. One month after I bought the car there are so many features that I am still trying to understand. Yes there is a manual, but it’s not so user friendly as videos with voice over would have been. And the voice can be also made in so many languages. I think this is the area that Honda really needs to improve.

App is giving me false alarms

Every hour last night, I’ve received alerts that ignition has been turned on. And ignition turned off after 10 minutes. I investigated by checking the fuel economy, but it doesn’t seem that the car is keeping itself alive or AC is running. The app is just erring. Even through the day, the car is peacefully parked but it continues to give me alerts that ignition is on and off and trip has ended. Very disturbing. I have a new car with this feature and I’m wondering if it was wrong to even activate this. Is it actually safe? I’m using the latest gen iPhone Pro Max and both iOS and the app are fully updated.

Works most of the times!

The app is good no doubts about it. It’s some good effort from Honda to develop some neat features in connected car space. However, there are times when due to maybe low network connection, the car just doesn’t get detected and I can’t really check things out or access the features as integrated between the car and the app. I think great network reception at car’s end is what that is needed the most to improve the experience. When features work, they work flawlessly be it remote engine or AC start or checking the status of the car. Honda should take feedback on improving the experience.

Missing critical information

Pls include- ALL IMPORTANT - TPMS (check), Engine Health (check), Fuel Level (check- Red,Amber,Green or %age), Battery Level (check- Red,Amber,Green or volts), Fuel Average (Last trip or AVG) on VERIFY checklist Dashboard landing page. This information is available in car MID and Alexa or inside app as well but all scattered, summaries it on the front screen. Note-It is not useful and user friendly without above inclusions. Also, have these detailed information available somewhere in the App like Fuel Average in My Trips details. Overall Engine Oil lvl, Brake Oil level, Coolant level, Next Service due.

Amazed with new Elevate 😍😍😍 I am in love with my car ❤️❤️❤️

The best in class. Safety features are incredible. I am in awe of this new beauty 😍Thank you Honda for such a beautiful car. ADAS feature works and it’s incredible, at times you feel the car has its own mind. When the driver gets distracted even for a bit the intelligent system of the car takes over. Kudos for making such a comfortable car. Long drives are a joy and no fatigue even after driving for hours ❤️

A Tech-Savvy Review of the Honda Car and Its Mobile Application

I recently had the opportunity to experience the Honda car and its associated mobile application. Here’s my take on the experience:

1. Good Effective Features/Mobile Application:
The Honda mobile application offers an array of impressive features that enhance the overall driving experience. From remote start and climate control to vehicle status updates, it provides a level of convenience that modern drivers appreciate. The ability to unlock, lock, and locate the car through the app is particularly handy. The interface is user-friendly, making it easy to access these features, and it definitely adds a tech-savvy touch to the driving experience.
2. Occasional App Hiccups:
However, it’s worth noting that the app isn’t flawless. There were instances where it failed to receive commands promptly or experienced delays in responding. While these hiccups were infrequent, they can be frustrating when you’re in a hurry or relying on the app for quick access to your vehicle. This is an area where improvements could be made to ensure a consistently smooth user experience.
3. Fuel Economy Data Feed Addition:
One noticeable improvement that would benefit users is the addition of fuel economy data on the first page of the app. Currently, accessing this information requires navigating through multiple menus. Placing it front and center would provide users with a quick snapshot of their vehicle’s fuel efficiency, which is crucial information for many drivers.

Overall, the Honda car’s mobile application is a valuable addition to the driving experience, offering a range of features that make life easier for the tech-savvy driver. While there are occasional hiccups in responsiveness, these can likely be addressed with updates. Adding fuel economy data to the app’s main page would be a welcomed enhancement. In summary, it’s a good app with the potential for further improvement.

Initial trouble but it’s working well now

Faced some errors initially after activating the account and logging in. None of the controls were working for me. Requested s callback from within the app. Received the call from customer relations team (not in 15 minutes which they claim though). Issue was resolved promptly, I appreciate the timely support. App is back to working well now. Yet to try out the full features. But it’s majorly functional now. Thanks.

Overall it hasn’t been worth it

Pros:

Nice party trick
useful if you give the car to a driver

Cons:
Privacy concerns
Unclear to me how Honda uses the data from this app and who owns it.

Inaccurate.
1. It shows as if the driver broke speed limit (20kmph) on roads where there is no speed limit sign.
2. Often it shows as if the car is flying from place to place instead of following a road.

It means they don’t have accurate map data, so any info based on it is just an annoyance.

Annoying
1. Too many notifications.

Car started, car stopped, trip ended… sometimes HOURS after the actual event.

2. Says we left headlights on… but the car has auto headlights.

Artificially Slow.
I think the app is artificially slowed for dramatic effect.
For example: when checking if the car is locked, it takes over 10 seconds… Wow. Even after request is complete the check marks show one after the other in succession instead of just showing a status.

Nice and responsive app

I purchased Honda city 10 days back. After 2 days dealer activate this app. App is very useful. It gives all necessary information of the car. You can check car’s status. You can search your car with this app. You can start the car. You can check the exact fuel status. App gives you many information about your driving, road speed limit etc.

Hi, Glad you like it.

Great app with scope of improvement

The app has been more than amazing with two instances of hiccups when it showed the vehicle was on whilst it wasn’t but otherwise it has been stupendous.
I love the valet alert and the driving history feature, the remote AC start and door open is also a boon.
The remote boot open function helps me to open it for my cleaner and use the cleaning accessories.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this.

Honda can fix the bugs

Trust me, Honda is a big brand but the way this connected app works is very poor. It keeps looping you to login again and again, fails to connect the car many times which ultimately makes it useless. When you are coming up such features make sure that these small bugs can be fixed easily. Honda isn’t serious about feedbacks at all. Name can sell for some time but eventually people will understand the brand value by this kind of buggy app also. If you want to give something, give it like future proof else, you might not even do this gimmick.

Update: it’s been a month and I still see the same issue occur again and again. Raised issue with customer relations but no one understands this.

Overall fantastic app

The app is fantastic to use and practical.
Gives you every update, whether car is unlocked/locked; lights are left on, car is left unlocked, even when car is crossing speed limit in designated area.
After using app for almost month; i found some lag in app; like i dont get instant notifications for event happening with my car! Is it some bug or an update is required.
Please resolve this

Most Practical Car with required function

I often use Honda connect to locate car locations and trip and it serves its purpose well. Connectivity during service and update could be better. Honda is first one to provide this feature in cars and others followed afterward. It’s serving purpose well and most important is customers service listens to your problems and try to solve. Good feature in most practical car

Hi Kaushal, Thanks for your love and appreciation.

Honda service centre review bopal ambli Ahmedabad

Every time I feel bad experience. I have done following services 1000 km, 5000 km , 10k, 20k and 30k km. Total 5 services done by honda service center Bopal ambli. First 4 services I feel car to dirty and they not clean properly. Every time disappointed from staff. While they calling for feedback and I told about not properly clean my car they replied come again and our team clean again. Really we have no time for this foolish things. Every time go for service center. Remove all rubbish staff they not clean car properly. Second things about wheel balancing and alignment They not do their work about balancing and alignment. And taking higher charge almost double charge. I have experience wheel position never change just take money. Third things about In my fifth service they take extra charge of ac evaporation cleaning which really not required. Honda staff did intentionally for money. Forth things I have to remove my map sd card on every service They said our helper or worker working in service center they all are thief 😞 so remove gps sd card We are not responsible. Fifth things Insurance cashless service take 7 days for claim. Take too much time for small tinny works.
