Intriguing… but broken
I’ll be honest,I really liked this game when it came out. Being how I am,I didn’t mind how the gacha system worked then,or how the gameplay and story went,but as it started progressing and got to the end of the first story things started breaking fast. I had a great account,almost 100% completion of the story and events,but then weird things and maybe glitch’s started happening that eventually made me lose my account and made me have to start over twice. I’m also not happy with the lack of old open world story content,seeing as it was really interesting before it got abandoned for the part two story,but I’d still recommend playing this game before it has to eos… not that I think it will but I’m still giving 4stars to boost it. Hope you enjoy what’s left if you decide to play,like i once did. And thanks for bothering to read this far.

This was my first ever gacha game ( i play a few now) and i remember the story being very refreshing due to how the story was formatted and just the layout so i replayed it it was good but i noticed the more recent stories changed the format to be more like other typical gacha games which kind of killed the refreshing vibe.

Honkai Impact 3rd is an incredible game. While it can be overwhelming at the beginning with all of the menu buttons and whatnot, you quickly get the hang of it. While the early game’s models are somewhat low-quality and the gameplay is clunky, it makes sense because this was Hoyo’s first 3D game. No part of the story feels unneeded, and no character replaceable without changing another’s development. The animated short are incredible and well-timed, and the music is amazing (although I do wish I could put Befall on a playlist -_-). The model quality and gameplay quickly improve, and while there is some fanservice (and i love women so im the fan being serviced, hello thelema), one would be hard-pressed to find a game of this genre without it (and this game at least somewhat started the anime gacha game scene) and the amazingness of the story far outweighs this in my opinion.
The story is amazing. Wether or not you’ve played the game, you probably know about the fate of Himeko, but no character is lost in vain and you begin to even wish the main villain well when you learn his motivations.
Really, the only criticisms I have are the amount of Crystals it takes to get a 5* skin (and that there is no saved pity), the fact that we didn’t get much detail on Sin Mal, there is no 2E Sirin battlesuit or even skin (Sirin is my favorite daughter), that some of the music is not available on certain music streaming apps, and the confusingness of Part Two’s story.
I also made the unfortunate mistake of first downloading the game through Steam, so I can’t play that account on my phone.
Ultimately, it is an incredible game and I recommend everyone to play it. It had quickly become and will probably always be my favorite video game, and it means so much to me in a way that can only be understood if you play it.

Lowkey boring
I played all of hoyo game (except for their otome one) and this has to be the most boring. I heard that the game has really game lore but when it forces me to do the whole chapter that really put me off. Mind you, this game take quite some time to download and it heats up my device real bad. Other than genshin, this game is EXTREMELY greedy. Also, the fact there only playable female characters puts me off.
I would recommend playing hsr or even zzz.

Amazing
Genuinely one of my favorite games of all time. The game play is super fun, the characters are great, and the story is amazing.
Boring, uninspired slop
The game is nothing special, its a standard gacha game with terrible gameplay and ugly visuals and designs. I wouldnt give it a one star but because this game is such a bad influence on their other properties i have to be petty and give them this rating.

This game is so important to me and the first hoyoverse game i ever played, i started it in 2019 and I absolutely adore the story and the characters. But oh my god. greedy company. i couldn’t ever get any characters without pure luck or spending money or i had to skip every other character i wanted. Pity is so high and powercrept is horrible. i can’t even get a full comp or god forbid a 3/3 S valk without genuinely selling my soul, then in a week they aren’t good anymore. This game has some of the most beautiful lore and characters I have ever seen, i love the protagonists, i love the antagonists, i love the side characters, the story is just so amazing, not even mentioning the music. The gameplay is so much fun but the greed of this game is what ruins it. I love these characters so much and just wish they weren’t under than reign of such a greedy company.
