The app doesn’t work

It’s not worth it. I tried using the hook on math app.. it’s clearly a glitch. Every time we press skip it goes right back to the same page.

Lots of technical issues

Sometimes there were glitches and I paid for the subscription that is supposed to work with their reading and spelling and math and I could only successfully log into 1 app the others say change password which I do and still doesn’t work then directs me to contact them and the message set up is just a robot that sends you articles and that out you right back where you started. And there’s only like a 1 age level I thought there would be more levels for like each age but my 6year old daughter went through every level so quick and then that was it they’re wasn’t more advanced levels to teach her more. So I’ve canceled subscription won’t be using again.

Great concept but doesn’t beat abcmouse

With abcmouse I can setup multiple accounts for my kids of all ages. This I cannot it’s not a family account it’s 1 for all. The material is good and we love getting the stuff in the mail but for each kid it’s not easy for me as the teacher. Also there should be a homeschool option. I homeschool and on other platforms I am able to get discounted or free options for all the kids. The materials they send are excellent and we loved the little backpack and getting things monthly but the payment doesn’t include enough for me as a teacher and mom for them to use it regularly. Maybe put out a free options as well. So we can continue to use it at a slower pace with limited access. Just not worth it for me price wise and multiple accounts it doesn’t fit my needs.

I can’t even!!!

My son tried doing the math problem 5-1 according to this app the answer is not 4! There’s a few times when both my husband and I have gone to help but the app is inaccurate! It’ll keep saying that your wrong and make you take a break even if your answer is right according to the rest of the world. It’s not even worth $1 since it’s telling the kids the correct answer is wrong! Way to create unnecessary stress for CHILDREN! This will not make your life easier!

Can’t family share!!

It is extremely difficult to get my 2 kids to use one device while teaching them. Basically impossible so I would have to buy the app 2 times to be able to use it for both my kids on separate tablets. You cannot family share the subscription which is a shame! We absolutely love it but won’t be buying again after our subscription is over because of this. Not sure how you’re supposed to use one device for multiple kids. Just doesn’t make any sense. Why not just put it on family share?

Instead of Family Sharing, you may download the App on the other device and log in with the same credentials used on the original device. A descent math app for young kids

My 4-year-old loves this app. Not great for beginners, but if your kid knows simple addition and subtraction, they can use this app. It’s very engaging.

Works great!

My son is four and he loves the app and is learning very well. I thought the sound wasn’t working but if your phone is on silent, the sound on the app won’t work! I hope that helps someone😁

Hi there, We are sorry you are experiencing sound issues with the App. It has come to our attention that Apple recently made a change to iOs that sets the audio button to automatically default to mute. This change impacted our most recent App release, and some users have suddenly had trouble hearing App audio. The good news is, there is a very simple fix. For iPhone users, please toggle the mute button on the side of your device to OFF, and your App audio functions should return. For iPad users, please slide down the menu in the upper right corner and set the bell icon to ON. As always, email us at contact@hookedandcompany.com if you need any further assistance.

My 4 yr old digs it

My son is into this Math App, and he loves bouncing between the workbooks and the app lessons at his own pace. There are moments where I need to guide him as to where or how to tap, but he has figured most of this out on his own and is really enjoying it!

My daughter is stick at chapter 5 of Math fundamentals. Nothing is coming for chapter 5 activity.

Does not work

App is stuck on Math Fundamentals, level 5. The level does not load.

No sound

For some reason no sound plays when my child tries to do the lessons. So she can’t really use it at all.

Can’t open

I pay for a subscription and my child currently can’t even open this app. I tried deleting and redownloading it, but now I keep getting returned to the password screen after tapping done to view billing. I should just be able to redownload from the cloud without entering passwords but it keeps going in circles!!

Warning!

I can’t even log in to the app. The only way to contact the company is through social media or text. You can’t call. Also! There is no way to cancel subscription or remove your credit card from their website! I have tried several times “chatting” with them through the website and it’s like a bot replying (if at all) so now, not only can I use the dashboard and apps that I have paid for, but I also have no way of canceling. So I am going to be charged over $16 a month for something I can’t even access. It’s a trap! If you, the company are taking a customers money, you need to give them 100% access to YOU (phone number or at least real people replying to chats)- and WE the customer need to be able to CANCEL on our own and remove our payment method from your account. This is very suspicious if you ask me. Now, I will need to go to my bank and make sure they block all charges coming from this company! Just a fair warning! It sounds and looks great. I’m thinking the reviews are fake though! Don’t bother! So so many more learning apps and companies out there who are professional and available to the customer AND Give give you control of your account! So dissatisfied.

Being Charged for the App

I do not believe I should be charged to use the app when my use of this app in beta was our primary go to for math education! My families use helped make this app what it is so that you can charge because we helped you workout all the kinks typos and glitches I would like my first year of this service to be charge free because we were not gainfully paid for our valuable services and found it insulting to be solicited randomly right when we got to a new level to be able to continue our use that was all gain for you.
