Removed Search
I’m honestly not sure why you would remove a search option when trying to find an article. Impossible to find news about something that happened in the area now.

Informative
I have this app along with two other Weather apps downloaded to my device in between your three of them. I stay on top of the weather. It is very informative up to the point. I can start my day with this app. No what I have to look for when I leave home.
The Best
I love that the app no longer has all the annoying advertisements you HAD to watch before watching every clip of news. I also love the new feature to be able to just scroll through them all and their anchors are amazing❣️💯

Ads
There are too many ads that don’t belong on a news app. I can click on one and my is smart enough to tell me that the ad is malicious.

The new app is awful and has been since it was launched. Fix the iPad screen size problem how about an option to change the font size to something readable
Difficult to navigate and find stories
The newest look to the KHOU app is simple, and I love how easy it is now to find livestreams, but it’s so hard to find local news without categories or a search bar. Really disappointing and frustrating.

Idk what keeps compelling them to update the app but every time they do it gets worse. I will be deleting it as it’s now of no use for anything newsworthy

The weather tab on the app will not show anything but the temperature and also keeps changing my location. I’m not in Houston but I am in LaMarque.

I hate that I can no longer choose how I view stories. Forcing landscape viewing is uncool.
What happened to search??
There is no search feature within the app or the ability to filter between news categories. The UI update itself is nice aesthetically but the main features we want from a news application are just missing. I get notifications for interesting news articles and can’t even find them in the app anymore if the notification takes me to the main feed and not the article in the notification I clicked on. I don’t want to go to the website, I want to use the convenience of the app. Please bring this feature back.

This was my go to morning Houston news app, until the latest update. Now I can no longer drink my coffee and scroll, because the new updated app only presents in portrait. Yes, the landscape mode is gone … and now so is the app.

Please go back the old version app. This one sucks.
