Worthless company
This company does not care about customer service they want to take money and that’s it there app no longer works and my $500 drone is worthless DO NOT BUY A HOVER PASSPORT ANY VERSION BUY ANOTHER BRAND!

I’ve found that it doesn’t work on apple. Downloaded it on Android and it works perfectly.
Does not work on iPhone 7plus
I got a iPhone 7 Plus and this app will not let me connect to my hover passport via WiFi. When ever I try the WiFi waves don’t show up on my phone nor does it connect to the app. Can anyone help?!?!?

I recently changed from a galaxy s8 to an iPhone XR. When I turn on and connect to the drone WiFi, it acts as though it’s not connected and won’t let me get past the screen that says “connect to WiFi”

App dose not allow me to connect to drones WiFi
This app is such a pease of sh** I try to connect to its WiFi and the app dose not change the page even if I’m connected I spend $200 for a fuc***** thing not to work and customer service takes 1day to reply do yourself a favor and don’t buy this please of sh**
Pleasantly surprised by quality and ease of use
I didn’t expect much from this drone after seeing so many poor reviews on the app coupled with the low price. However I have to say I haven’t had any issues with it yet. I haven’t used any of the follow features or advanced operations but basic flight movements, video & photo quality are far better than I expected. The packaging was also very nice quality and they included 2 batteries, extra propellers, chargers, carry case, and tools. You will definitely want at least 2 batteries as the flight time is only 10mins. The good news is they charge fast. The unit itself is a great design too with fully protected propellers, streamline battery design, and easily foldable for compact carrying. It’s about the size of a sandwich when it’s folded up.
I own a Mavic Pro which was over 4x the price of the Hover Passport version I bought but the listed specs were similar. I needed a drone that could shoot aerials for a home that DJI restricted (even though the location was a few blocks away from the restricted zone). Therefore I had to buy a drone under the FAA weight limit in order to avoid restriction issues. The Hover Passport turned out to be the perfect solution. The air space only allowed 100ft for this location so the altitude on this drone was sufficient for what I needed. However those looking for typical drone heights of 400ft would likely be disappointed since I think this one maxes out around 60ft.
I feel this drone is a great option for a beginner as well a good small back up drone to keep on hand for certain situations where other larger drones are restricted. It would be a great travel drone too. For under $250 I am honestly very pleased with how great the overall performance was so far with this drone.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT EVER
This drone is the worst purchase and I wasted time thinking it was a cool device to have I was sadly mistaken when I thought I could simply download the app and fly and take videos with ease. The app is NOT user friendly. Don’t waste your time and money. Fortunately I bought this “paperweight” from eBay and I should get a full refund.

Not that bad anymore
Ok so if you’re considering buying this product I have to say you have to be careful and have the salesperson test the device on your phone before making the purchase because I had to switch my device because the first one couldn’t be discovered by any phone , the second one works like a charm but you’ll need to calibrate it occasionally which is fine by me

Great app works great even across different OS, but...
I would give this application 5 stars but I gave it a 3 for 2 specific reasons. I have the gen 1 passport and I use both my iPad and my samsung galaxy s8+ to control it. Both apps work well on either platform. Though I found the application is optimized for smaller displayed devices. It would be nice if there was 2 versions of this application one for smaller handheld devices like a smart phone and a second for larger displayed devices like a iPad or comparable tablet. Second, sometimes the connectivity function of the application and the drone don’t always see each other and needs to be rebooted a few times to get to connect.

Please update this app for the iphone XS Max, the screen goes off the edges and I can not access many features because of this.

The app won’t connect with the drone 9 times out of 10, even with the default password.

Initial hiccup on setup, otherwise fine
Quick start was a no-go. App and unit saw each other on WiFi but I couldn’t connect. Went through the poor English translation user manual and some other online content troubleshooting. No luck. Desperation, shut off cellar signal on phone: bingo. Unit saw app over WiFi. Upgraded firmware. Played for a day. Decent controls via app. Really like the preset video clips’ ease, social sharing, filters, music. Impressive video quality. Will revisit review after moderate use
