Disappointing
My email got changed without verification and won’t let me change it back I appealed to hoyo but they still haven’t got back to me even though it has been a few weeks so I am awaiting my account back
Good for getting redemption codes, but…
The Admins and Moderators are TERRIBLE when it comes to dealing with the community. Make a comment or post, and you’re risking people reporting you for false accusations.
The moment the Admins or Moderators see this, they give a warning to you, based on what you were reported for.
And if people keep reporting you for false accusations, you immediately get permanently muted.
This prevents you from participating in events that require you to leave a comment in order to have a chance at getting an in-game reward.
Basically, the community screws you over, the admins and moderators don’t care to learn the entire story (your side, their side, and the truth).
They see reports, they mute you PERMANENTLY, not a temporary mute. If it were only temporary, this Review would be 4 stars, not 1 star.
Moral of the story: the app is useful, but beware of engaging with the community. You might get permanently muted for false accusations.
And if you admins and moderators believe you would never do that, you HAVE done that to ME, and I am not satisfied with that; you never listened to my side of the story 😐

If you delete your account on this app it also deletes your game data
So, I downloaded this app so I can get some free stuff but also get updated on the games I play like zzz, hsr, and Genshin, but I did some research on what happens when you delete your account and apparently when you delete your HoYoLAB account it also deletes your Hoyoverse account which is such a bad feature to those who don’t want to use this app anymore, but also it should be 2 separate things where you can be able to unlink it to HoYoLAB so you don’t lose your data, also if you delete a comment people can still find you because your user name appears in the comment which is a bad feature overall, if I delete a comment I don’t want my username to appear so people can find me, there is also no possible way to make your account private either

I used to love Genshin, played it for years, but the un-skippable tedious stories ruined it for me. ZZZ and HSR let you skip stories. Genshin should to. Until then, I’m not paying for any Hoyo games.

Please get rid of users who don’t play any of the games and only post irrelevant content and vents, or increase the amount of blocked users.
Laughably incompetent moderation
The moderation is so backwards. They delete posts warning users of scams or people posting art of two men kissing *gasp*. Then refuse to delete actual scams as well as things spoiling their own games before it’s even released to everyone. They even run official events that reward SPAMMING LINKS on every single post making the app essentially unusable until the event is over because you get inundated with links in your comments. Well when I find an unusable app, I delete it.

Great Concepts But Needs Fleshing Out
I downloaded the app for Genshin, and I love the ideas like the companionship widget and the wiki. However the former doesn't seem to work properly (Examples: I haven't gotten points for having the character in game already or for participating in character discussions.) and the Wiki has names for some characters but the photos and descriptions have been left blank. It would also be cool if the app were more intuitive. I spent a wild amount of time trying to get my accounts connected just to earn points from daily logins. All of that said, it's nice having a designated space to communicate with other fans. I love having the character widget so I can see my favorites when I open my phone.

Filled with pedos and perverts
I literally saw someone try to take a minor off platform. The minor stated they were 15 and the adult said they were 22. The amount of inappropriate content in this app is crazy. Didn’t get a reply when I asked why people sexualising younger characters weren’t getting banned.
