Simply didn’t work
The entire app seems pointless and never worked at all. The instructions really dont tell you anything other then “wait for guide” to turn on. There was no guide. Running app on trail was either “waiting to sync” or “waiting for the magic”.
This was in Virginia, and the “experience “ itself was anemic. Maybe 2-3 things that were cool in 60 min walk through woods. Ive seen more investment in lights and tech from personal home Christmas displays.

Didn’t work
I had this all ready to go before my HP experience and it never worked. Kept saying “waiting for the magic to happen”.
I think along the walking trail there could be better visibility into when the app connects…or maybe adding the app to the FAQ for the ticketing etc. It was an amazing event without this app so I’m not too upset about it.

Most expensive evening walk
Traveled far for something that is subpar. The ticket is probably worth 20 bucks at most and nothing more. Save some money and don’t bother buying the deluxe bundle.
Poor implementation
I tried using this app from start to end. Most of the time people using this are blocking the real world road because we have to be at almost the same spot to answer game questions.
Don’t bother with the app
Super buggy and not user friendly. Doesn’t add much value to your experience either. Don’t bother downloading! Just go for the experience without the app.

It closes suddenly, as well as stays with no response from time to time.

The app hangs as soon as I started it right after installation
Before I could enjoy the experience, the app hung on me and drained the battery life of my phone during the first 10 minutes of my experience. Please improve on the app? For the benefit of future users?

The app seems like a cool idea, but I had spent more time trying to get it to work than actually doing anything with it. The experience was amazing though, just the app is not needed at all.

Forbidden forest experience
On the website of this place they charged $100 dollars per ticket and that is just ridiculous also the app is supposed to “enhance your experience” but all it did was show pictures of a couple things and then a poorly quality video from the amazing Harry Potter movies I love Harry Potter but this place did not do it justice and they also charge $7 for a tiny cup of hot chocolate after already charging $100 dollars per ticket so in conclusion this place is just a waste of money and time

Very janky
Went to the experience with my family, and the app distracted too much from the scenery and was annoying to deal with. For example, a series of quizzes pop up during the trail. You can’t skip them and they block your screen from the rest of the app; restarting the app doesnt help either. The only way to make them go away is to give them an email and a phone number. On top of that, the app is idle most of the time but randomly starts a timer to take a selfie without notifying you. This happened about 10 times and took some nice pictures of my chin.
The only redeeming quality about this app is that it didn’t require a wifi connection and still seemed to function as intended. Other than that, total train wreck.

Not worth the distraction
My family and I visited the Harry Potter: Forbidden Forest experience last night, and while the forest show itself was beautiful, trying to get this app to do anything but force me to take the same quiz over and over while waiting in line was incredibly frustrating.
At each of the first few markers, I attempted to use the app to “enhance” our experience, but each time all it did was show me a white screen. I overheard some other visitors nearby who were also having the same issue. Eventually I just gave up.
