Multiplication

50 x .5 = 0, but 50 x 0.5 = 25.. at least in my experience.. so there may be a workaround for others having similar issues

ENG mode work wrong

The ENG mode doesn’t seem to work like my physical HP-41cv calculator. The point of engineering notation is to work mostly with whole numbers. This app seems to convert everything to a decimal when an ENG mode. For example, 123 shows up as “0.123 03” rather than “123.000 00” and 16,000,000 shows up as “0.0160 09” rather than “16.0000 06”. Maybe there’s a setting for this, but I can’t find it so this app isn’t useful to me.

Not working

Can’t get this app to do anything

Functional issues

Entered 17.3, 0.92 X and got zero. Repeated calculation and sometimes it displays the correct value but if I immediately repeat the calculation, each time thereafter I get a different result and value is decreasing.

Stack problem?

GUI looks good but math functions need to produce the right values

Leading Zero

I am seeing the same issue. If you multiply 50 by .5 you get zero. If you multiply 50 by 0.5 you get 25. Seems like a new issue. Otherwise I really like this app. Used a 41C since the 80’s. Can’t use anything but RPN.

41cv

This app no longer works on my phone. I tried deleting it and reinstalling it and it still does not work. Not all the keys are showing. It’s like it’s zoomed in on the upper right side of the calculator.

Bug in current version

I am seeing the same issue. Numbers between 0 & 1 yield inconsistent behavior.

Unreliable

I’ve been using this app for years and really loved it for the familiarity of RPN and the fact that it works fairly like my HP41CV.
I opened it yesterday to do a simple percentage calculation (40 * .25) and I get zero. It repeatedly returns zero. I guess this is the end of this great free app.

Stuck in scientific notation

Why did the latest upgrade stick my calculator in scientific notation? No idea how to switch back and no instructions provided.

Bug

There is a bug with the decimal key. Please fix!!!!

Worst mistake a calculator can make

So far, this calculator has given me the wrong answer to every question I have asked it.

60 x .5 = 50?

12% of 100 = 6?

It seems to get it wrong more often than not. A calculator that gets the wrong answers is worse than useless.

As much as I would like a free 41c emulator, this isn’t it.

I think there is a bug with .7 vs 0.7 with Last X

If you enter a decimal number without a leading zero (e.g., .7 rather than 0.7) the app seems to get confused thinking I pressed “Last X” and the math outcome is wrong…

Try
100 enter
200 enter
.5 X
You get 50 (wrong)

Try
100 enter
200 enter
0.5 X
You get 100 (correct)

I can’t believe this was always broken. It seems like a recently introduced bug.

Great before, unreliable now

60000 x .75 = 0.00
.75x 60000 = 45000

Very nervous with this upgrade

App quit working

What happened? App will not work! Worked fine for several years - now I select app icon and nothing!!

No rotation: a surprise on such a big app

Nicely rendered; and looking at its immense list of functions, probably very powerful.

But at about 26MB, this is no lightweight. It is therefore a surprise to find that it does not fulfil one of the basic functions of a hand-held device. Is it really that much more difficult to allow rotation?

Deleted for now. I'll try again if rotation becomes available.

Just ok

Seems to work well. It will recognise characters with even the fastest typing, which is different than other HP-41 apps I’ve tried. UI isn’t the same as what the actual calculator looked like. The font is too small and there’s no adjustment for its size. Basic calculator for RPN and it’s free, so not complaining much.
