Integration to a Garmin bike computer.

I have been trying to use the app with the Garmin 1050 for a few months now. I’ve gone through endless attempts, including uninstalling and reinstalling the app at least five times.

Grégory Cordier at BIPR has provided great support, but unfortunately he also admitted that there is nothing else to do, and it does not seem to support the Garmin 1050 bike computer.

Worked until I purchased a lifetime subscription

I thought this was a great idea since I have an Apple Watch. I understand that this only supplies a data field but does not record on my Garmin as heart rate (a limitation by Garmin). I thought it was still worthwhile so I purchased a lifetime subscription. However, it no longer works! I start a workout in the app on my watch and phone, then on the Garmin. But the data field is 0 in both the Garmin and the HR2VP app. I sent an email to the developer but did not receive a reply. I will try to get a refund from Apple.

HORRIBLE!

I was in trial mode. Forgot about it. Then the app took over my Garmin 1050 screen when trial mode ended. It would not go away. I lost my navigation and my workout display. Horrible. What are you guys thinking. You have to come up with a better way!

Not worth it

Dang, a monthly subscription or one-time cost of thirty two large just to send my Apple Watch heart rate to my Garmin Edge… Immediately uninstalled after finding the one simple feature that everyone wants locked behind a paywall.

No thank you.

Response from developer

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just to clarify for anyone reading: the app can be fully tested for free in 15-minute sessions, including sending Apple Watch heart rate to a Garmin Edge. This allows users to verify everything works before deciding on a purchase. Longer sessions require a subscription or one-time unlock, which supports ongoing development and ensures the app remains reliable and compatible with new devices and updates. I understand not everyone wants to pay for this functionality, and that’s completely fine — but for users looking for a solution, the options are there. If you’d like any help testing the connection, feel free to reach out.
