Why 17+?
Why is this app rated for 17+? I’m not going to change my kid’s content settings, so then he has to use my phone to use his drone.
HORRIBLE!!!
Do NOT purchase this garbage. The drone is stuck on “unlock drone” and never takes off. Instructions and POORLY WRITTEN.

WIFI / GPS Doesn’t Work
Yes, I followed the instructions and many many times I might add. Done everything exactly right. Even left the drone, receiver and phone alone to connect. Finally the drone just turned itself off. I will be returning the drone to Amazon.

Sorry if you just bought this drone to use this app. The first one I got worked for a couple days and then stopped connecting to the drone. Called the holy stone people and after some back and forth told me I had a bad drone and they sent me another one. Same thing, worked for a couple flights and now no longer connects. Do your self a favor at this point and return it.

No audio or speech cues.
The amount of times I have been flying under a tree and, because of low battery, it randomly enables RTH and flys straight up into the tree is getting concerning. One of these days I will no doubt brake my drone.
Instead of automatically enabling RTH at 20% (which is enough to get some more flight time) it could give an audio cue like “battery low” and then enable RTH at 15 or 10% instead.

It’s amazing!
This drone and app works perfectly! I love this app the setup is easy and the camera works really good too!
WiFi 5G does not work
We have a Holy Stone HS175D. The WiFi that drone puts out is on a 5g frequency. The App defaults to a 2.4g frequency, so it does not see the drone. No problem, there is a "Change Band” dropdown in the settings. Yeah, regardless of devise (have tried aniPhone 16 Plus, IPad 5th and 9th gen’s, Google Pixel 7Pro, Samsung Galaxy S12+) it throws a “Failed, Check it" error.
Customer Service at holy stone says to use Airplane mode, then turn on WiFi, connect to the drone, then open app. Yup, "Failed, check it". Yeah, check your app, it’s basically useless for anyone that needs a 5g WiFi connection.

It does a great job with my holy stone drone and does not have any issues. I am not a bot and I’m not paid to do this
Best drone
I got this drone and it’s the best decision I’ve made, not only it’s light weight, it’s super easy to use and its camera is good! Because of holy stone I feel like this is the only thing I want to do everyday!
App fails when changing altitude and longitude
Every time I try to change the altitude and longitude the app closes
Failed update
Drone will not allow me re reset altitude and distance it’s stuck on 6/20 or beginner mode 30/30 this is a drone I paid $150 dollars for and it’s operating like a $30 drone plus camera feed blacks out
Fix
App closes when changing flight distance
Setting for max height and distance causes crash
All of the sudden the app will default to 19 ft if I try to correct this and save the app just crashes. They literally sent me a new drone for the WiFi problem now this.
Works Great
My son and I have been using this for a while now with our drone. Works good for the most part, only problem we seem to ever have is connecting/calibrating the drone once in a while. As long as it connects we haven’t had any issues.
