Have to pay for 10 other subscriptions to watch anything!!! Stupidly complicated password requirements and mediocre selection to choose from. If they even do let you in without sending the FBI first because you couldn’t remember the fifth special character for your login

Downloads aren’t real
I downloaded a few things because I knew I’d be on airplanes all day. Turns out it won’t play unless it can connect to the internet even though it shows it downloaded on my phone. Then when it is connected, it plays from the very slow stream instead of the download. Why pretend you offer the service?

Please Bring Hulu to Nintendo Switch 2
To the Hulu Executive & Product Team,
I am a longtime Nintendo fan and loyal Hulu subscriber writing to request that Hulu be made available on the new Nintendo Switch 2.
I was surprised to find that the Switch 2 launched without any streaming apps. On the original Switch we had Hulu and YouTube, and many of us used the console as our go-to device to watch movies docked or in handheld mode.
Now is the perfect time for Hulu to be on Switch 2:
1. The audience is there. With The Super Mario Galaxy Movie breaking records in theaters and Nintendo launching major titles like the new Star Fox remake on June 25th and Super Mario Galaxy remakes in October, millions of fans are on Switch 2 daily. We want to watch movies and shows on the same device we game on.
2. The hardware is ready. The Switch 2 has a Full HD, HDR 8-inch screen built for movies. It is a portable theater.
3. The community is waiting. Games like Tears of the Kingdom have created a massive community of creators who live on streaming platforms to share their work. We need our streaming library on the console where we play and create.
I personally prefer watching movies on my Switch 2 console, and I know I'm not alone. The community has been very vocal about this missing feature.
Please work with Nintendo to bring Hulu to Switch 2 as soon as possible. You have a huge audience waiting to stream on day one.

Not working well with Chromecast anymore
Update: Still doesn’t work with chromecast. Every time I pause, it fully disconnects so I have to spend time reconnecting. Whenever I play something it will load for a second then start playing something else so I have to keep hitting play on what I actually want to watch over and over. It sucks. And it’s been like this for like a year.

Hulu was probably the streamer that has consistently worked best with Chromecast (gen 1) over time. But lately it’s declined in quality. The forward/rewind buttons are now only 10 seconds vs 30 so I have to spend forever hitting the buttons to find my place. You can also only hit them a certain number of times before the screen freezes and a loading symbol pops up so it takes even longer.
I cast from my phone and I’ll switch into other apps while I’m watching hulu on the tv and the connection almost always breaks when I go back to the hulu app to pause or rewind. So I have to reconnect the cast and often lately it won’t reconnect and actually display the episode currently playing, it’ll just say I’m connected but nothing appears on the app like it’s playing. So I have to disconnect then reconnect and play the episode again and it often starts from the beginning rather than from where I left off. Obviously this is a bad viewing experience and it didn’t used to be this way. And yes, the app and my iOS are up to date.

Horrible experience
There are so many ads in every episode of a show it’s actually sickening. Any upgrades are unclear on if the ads will go away and the only ones that seem to do it are incredibly expensive to get apps most already have or features you will never use. All anyone wants is to watch something without getting 50% ads. Making a subscription package that ONLY did that is what we all want. Even if I have to spend a couple extra bucks. The greed is insane man.

Clear Cache OFTEN
Whether you’re using the app or the webpage (Mac’s), Hulu will stop functioning. It’s a fact & a matter of time. Why? Hulu spams your system with cookies from third party unauthorized sites/vendors. When your system no longer permits Hulu to load or play .. clear the cache. Don’t waste your time with customer support .. they’re nothing more than rats in a cage. ((Translated: Hulu is targeting you & selling your information to thousands of unauthorized third party vendors simply by tracking you, even when you prohibit it))

Just way too many freaking ads, can’t rewind with ads, watch an intro ad, pivotal part in show 3-5 mins of ads.

If you don’t pay for add free good luck actually watching anything It makes me watch the adds then randomly decides to not let me watch the content 😑
Fix your application
I don’t think I’ve ever left a review but this is out of hand. This application has progressively become worse and worse. It lags, it endlessly loads, it NEVER shows what you were actually watching. The other streaming services (Netflix, HBO, Paramount, Prime, even Peacock) have zero issues. This is a train wreck. It’s so bad that I’m considering canceling the subscription and just using other services to avoid the annoyance and frustration of this platform. Please, rewind back to older versions that actually worked properly.

Hulu forces you to download app to even see what is available, and blocks desktop version on any mobile browser

This app has a weird live feature that every time you wanna change your channel a display box pops up… I want to change the channel more than whatever in that display but i can’t get around not seeing the display box.. 2 -3 clocks just to change channel smh

Let’s hit our valued customers with commercials in the beginning of the show, then 2 more in the middle of the show, and then add another commercial at the very end. So when I don’t realize the show is over, I have to watch the ad just for it to turn to the new episode which starts with a guess what? That’s right, another commercial! Only to follow another commercial after the shows intro.
