Great app for HVAC professionals…worth the money!

I’ve had this app for years, it works flawlessly, there has only been a few occasions where my search didn’t come up. I submitted the report and the team responded to me directly with each report. The first time was due to me entering the incorrect model number and there even gave me the correct model none I was looking for so I could retry my search. The second time was truly equipment they didn’t have their database, not only did they email me all the info personally, they added it to their database by the end of the next day so it was searchable. I’m in several online forums and groups with other HVAC professionals, when someone asks about equipment I always share screenshots from this app and every time I get asked to share the link to this app by other techs…. It’s been well worth the money!

I would like to see future updates include links to documents such as instillation manuals and tech support numbers.

Thank you for taking time to review the app and for sharing the app on other forums. I will keep in mind your request for links to installation manuals. Right now lots of data updates as manufacture prepare for new refrigerants to meet the EPA regulations. So adding features will have to wait a while.

Excellent App

I love this app and use it daily. They have 95% of the info you need and if it’s not in there you can email it to them and they were personally find the info for you if they can.

This is easily worth the $10.

A must have app

I am a residential HVAC estimator and having this app in my pocket makes it so much easier to know what’s already in a customers home. The devs are very responsive, if something is missing and you request it to be added you generally hear back within 48 hours. Well worth the little money paid.

Thank you for the great review! The program is really good at residential equipment and it helps to show the age of the existing equipment to homeowners to let them know it time for replacement. Lots of my customer think their system is only 8-10 years old then I show them their system is over 15 years old, make the sale a lot easier.

Great app.

Great app for field techs and sales reps. Not perfect but the best thing out there. It keeps getting better with time.

good app, I like it. I'll keep it for myself. but I would like more information about each unit, so that it would be enough to enter the model and get the most complete information about the device. rather than search different websites.

Thank you for taking the time to review the app. We are constantly adding more data to the data base and updating the application about ever two-three months. We are looking into creating a repo of documents on our website that decoder app can link to via the model number. We have to make sure this repo conforms to copyrights laws before proceeding. These documents would be the (Install/Owner/Service/Tech Spec/Nomenclature) manuals just one click inside decoder app would allow you to down load from our website. This is a feature lots of user have requested.

BEST APP EVER!

This is amazing! So simple and easy to use. Having this information off hand helps your sales (so it will pay for itself 100x over), and it has an easy to read layout, as well as an export feature.

Suggestion?
Include water heater model / serial numbers. As an HVAC tech, I look at those constantly too.

Sorry the data you were looking for was not in the database, if you will send the reports of missing data we try our best to get that data in the next free update of the software. If you still not satisfied with the app please submit a refund for your purchase. Thank you for trying the app.

Loved it until the new update

App is great at finding many residential model info. Unfortunately with new update the info screen changed. Not sure if it’s my phone I have iPhone 12pro. But I don’t care to see a pic of the equipment I know what it looks like I want to see the information and not just on two small lines at bottom of screen. Hope you can help. I will move rating up to five star if it were back to the way it was.

Thank you for the review, Apple has came out with a new design system and we are trying to implement it, we have a new version coming out this week which I hope address your issues if not please send me a email. The photos are for user who are not HVAC professionals and for a fast way of deciding if the model number matches the equipment searching in cases where more than one match is found for the model number. It would be easy to turn photos off with a setting page to revert back to old style and I will look into implement that as option on the future release. Residential & Small commercial

This app has been helpful for residential & small commercial, but doesn’t seem to have chiller info or Info for many off-brands.

Thanks for reviewing the app! We are constantly adding new data to the database based on data report missing by users and researched data. We do have limited chiller data currently, but are working to expand it. Unfortunately, the off-name brands don't always provide proprietary nomenclature for their model numbers, and if it's not publicly available we're not allowed to include it.

Colleagues and I bought phone version and windows version. Simple app that works great. Developer is very responsive to questions and inputs also.

VERY HELPFUL!!!!!!!

Thank you for this amazing app, well worth the couple bucks!! I went through my work pics and found a bunch of model numbers of units and looked them all up and it worked perfectly every time. I’m gonna use this a lot. THANKS

Don’t bother

This app has a very limited inventory of information
It’s not even able to find matches for common carrier Lennox or trace package units
Don’t wast the money

Sorry, the app did not meet your expectations. The database is very large but there are so many units sold and that is still in use it hard to have them all. I am constantly updating the database with reported missing data by the users. I am getting unit going back more than 30 years reported. Just ask for a refund from Apple and they will refund your money. These updates are free and often while I getting reported missing data. I am working hard to make the app a great tool for all users. Thank you for trying the software and letting me know of your issues.
