What is wrong with this?
Everytime I try to run a dual setup of these power heads it never connects anymore, they run at different speeds even when at the same speed…. The app constantly has glitches and bugs and I can’t even connect to my account/wifi with this anymore :( very disappointed
Hardware and software garbage
These are horrendous to set up. And the wifi connectivity range is terrible with these devices as well. Returning the junk as well as deleting this app.
Way better than Neptune
This is hands down the best controller on the market I have 6 devices linked up in a collective flawless
Buy Neptune Instead
I have had this system and this app for three years. All I have to say to justify my one star is that I wish I had bought Neptune instead.
Lots of issues
keep getting notifications from a sensor that was fully deleted and re-added. Really irritating and annoying cuz you think that something’s wrong and go to check your tank and nothings actually wrong. pH probe didn’t work correctly either one that came with the package was defective, won’t measure ph properly or recalibrate properly so it’s giving the wrong readings,

Wifi outlets connectivity issues
Since last update I'm unable to connect any wifi powerstrip. 👎🏽
Works well enough
This app does not feel like it was designed for end users. But rather designed by a tech person, possibly with a Windows/networking background, for a certain type of tech person. The app requires the user to log back in with username and password every 30 days. Really? Every 30 days? For some wave pumps? Seems much more like an designer’s/team’s design flex rather than practical and useful for users.
The controller nearly always remains connected to the cloud. When a connection is lost for 15 mins +/- a notification from the app is displayed. Best use of this is it lets me know WiFi is being wonky. The function of the pumps are unaffected. When WiFi is down the app does allow pump connection via blue tooth.
I like the products associated with the app, but the app is “meh.” Two stars. One star lost because of the GUI. An additional two stars lost because of the forced log out and reauthorization every 30 days.

Good peace of mind
Got a water level sensor and a temperature probe about a year ago and I really like knowing my tank’s (freshwater) status and that it’s safe, love the alert features too, only downside is sometimes you have to sign back into your account when you open the app which I could see potentially being an issue.

Watch app coming?
Would be great to have some functionality on a watch app…even if only to switch modes to feed or water change. Otherwise a good app.
Absolute garbage!
Interface is trash, support for this company is trash, paid $300 for a icecap gyro 2k a few years ago and it worked great. Now it says I need to update firmware for it to work but has no update to select. So now I’m stuck with a fully inoperable pump and a controller that has no software. I’m unable to use a previous version of firmware because the app and desktop version won’t let me select a device to make any changes to unless I update it, and am unable to update it without selecting a device. So I’m stuck in a catch 22 and a useless $300 controller and pump. Would give less than 1 star if I was able to.

Horrible App
Wave makers should not claim to be WiFi, they are not. I will try to return the IceCap because of false advertising. Don’t buy an icecap hydros control er. Their app team keeps spitting out what they call updates but just makes them worse. Every update causes a new problem. Their developers are horrible.

Literally awful
So awful. Awful pump, awful app. I’ve had the pump for MONTHS and it never worked with the app. I decided to try once again today to try and link it by resetting the app to factory settings - and the whole pump died. It stopped working & I could not get it to start up again for the LIFE of me. Almost destroyed my whole tank & i’m so happy I had a backup powerhead. App interface is confusing and uses jargon i’ve never heard before. Awful. Straight into the trash.

No longer works on my iPad Mini 2
Since the app was updated to only run on IOS 15.0 or higher, it will no longer work on my older iPad Mini since it’s on IOS 12.5.6 and is the highest it will go. I had it working perfectly fine about a month or 2 ago and now my iPad is useless since I only used it for controlling my Hydros Control 3. Pretty disappointed honestly and wish older devices were supported longer since this iPad is in mint condition.

Super Easy and Intuitive!
Being a first time controller user I couldn’t have gone with a better choice than the hydros. The app is easy to understand and use, and regardless of your expertise in controllers, you’ll be up and running from day one. Nice job!!
Better than alternatives imo
Hydros is new, and rn generally for people that are ok with both sides that coin. Love the cloud connect. Especially as I travel. Frustrated that rn the app is having issues loading my collective, "waiting for config," but the web app works great.
Am excitedfor / hopeful Coralvue will deliver on:
- More 3rd party support. Love that wave engines can plug right in and are controlled through the collective. Let's get more of this with return pumps, skimmers, etc.
- More login options like face id
- More availability for the Focustronic Mastertronic automatic water tester / or an "in house option" or something. Only thing missing to really be able to be #1 in this space is this. (understand this is not fully in coralvues control at the moment, but feedback they need to hear to really be competitive)

Regret buying
Can t get app to show same page as I tube video no way to actually get it to work as pump never shows up as an option
Flaw that could potentially destroy your tank
The app is easy fairly easy to set up and use. However, I learned today that it randomly logs you out of your account, which was almost a disaster for me.
I had moved some rockwork quickly out of my tank to capture and remove a fish. This lowered the water level and my ATO kicked on. Realizing my mistake, I went to turn off the ATO in the app, only to find that I had been logged out. I didn’t remember my password because I had only entered it once back when I set up my account and there was no way to sign in with facial recognition, so in order to turn off my ATO I had to unscrew and unplug it from the controller unit. Luckily the plug was in a place that was easy to get to and my salinity only dropped by 0.005 SG.
I would not trust this app/controller if I had valuable corals in my tank until they fix this login problem. Either keep me logged in, or allow users to log in with Face ID.

Love it
Love the app, just got the hydros 4 and it works perfectly for me, good so far. Never had a controller before but it was easy to set up.
Hydros control
Even better with the new update I feel very good knowing I live home and my tank is operating and it will alert me if anything goes wrong
Amazing app for amazing aquarium controller
From day one of using Hydros, been using it almost a year, the app has been fantastic. Never freezes, never fails to load, works and functions as it should. With every update the app and controller has increased functionality. I love it!
