Modified schedules don’t update

On a day where Irish rail know they are using a modified schedule; it would be great if the app train times reflected the schedule. Getting the dart from Sutton in to city on 29th December and the app train times are wrong by 15+ minutes. The screen/live updates board on the platform is accurate

Very useful for planning

This app is great! Lots of negative reviews but maybe they’re for an older version. UX is excellent and the journey planner is easy, I can save favourite stations and routes too for quick searching, and look at live maps and routes and realtime arrival times. All features that are far superior to trying to fight with Google Maps to do the same thing.

It’s true that to book and pay it redirects to the site, but even there I created an account and it’s easy to complete bookings. The app doesn’t show tickets either but they’re automatically emailed with a QR code and you can save to Apple Wallet.

5 stars for convenience of features available and UX. 4 stars for completeness.

Hard to see the point

Live map is inaccurate - the symbols for trains and stations are the same. Impossible to tell what’s a train and what’s a station.
Not possible to buy tickets.

Pointless App

Despite being highlighted over a year ago, you still can’t upload your ticket, it’s just a glorified timetable app. Even if you go to retrieve your booking it brings you back to their web page to print of your now QR code ticket. Why have an app without you having ticket access within it…. I looked and deleted only thing to do.

Basically a map

Only lets you see routes, can’t buy tickets or open tickets for scanning. Irish Rail should really ask any other country for help on this app. Even the US Amtrak app is better than this

Less than basic

I can’t understand how a national rail company can have an app that doesn’t allow you to book and download tickets. Crazy that you have to buy online and then collect tickets at the station.

Gan Gaeilge ar bith

Níl leagan Gaeilge den aip seo ar fáil. Is í an Ghaeilge mo rogha theanga agus tá sé náireach nach bhfuilim ábalta feidhmiú tríthi ar aip de chuid comhlacht poiblí. Cuireadh Iarnród Éireann é seo ina cheart.

Useless app

No place for user to sign in to sync the tickets purchased online. Have no idea why this app exists.

Terrible app

Can’t view ticket or make changes… non stop buffering.. big time waster

Not useful

The app can’t show my tickets nor can one purchase tickets or change bookings via the app. The website is far better.

Absolutely useless

Not much point if you can’t buy a ticket, got rid straight away

Pointless App

Doesn’t allow you to book tickets or have your saved tickets on the phone or check in via your phone. It’s just a timetable. Easier just to check times with other apps. Needs updating or deleting. Removed from my phone after one minute. Pointless.

👎

Very hard to choice a place (2h)

Useless

Booked a trip, then created an account. Thought I could log in and see my trip but no ability to login in on the app. No point in creating an account, functionally useless for that but it looks like booking travel on the App would would work for web based travel. Just don’t expect to find it on the app.

What is the point......?

This must be the only national rail app in Europe that doesn't allow you to buy a ticket or download to your phone. What's the point of this app? It's no more than a glorified timetable.

Can’t retrieve bookings

Unfortunately, this app isn’t useful. Accounts aren’t accessible so I can’t pull up my booking. Would be handy to have that as traveling with phone.

Waste of time

Why would u make an app that can’t even purchase tickets online? Ridiculous

Simple

It’s grand, there aren’t that many lines or routes in Ireland so it’s not that complicated. Is handy for referencing time tables to have an idea of how to plan a journey.

Nothing account related

Cannot log-in to see any of your booking info or mobile ticket pass

Waste of time

This app is utterly pointless and provides no additional information that can’t already be found on the Irish rail website. In addition to that it’s slow, unstable and doesn’t even allow for such a basic provision like booking tickets.
