Not sure if I'm missing something?

I'm on tier two upgrade and for some reason, all my longform pages only translate one to two manga panels, then the little strawberries just spin in the corner for the rest. I've sat for only over ten minutes before and it never translated. I did try multiple different mangas. I feel like this is a great app but there's something stunting it for me :/

It’s better than most if not all alternatives

Glad the app is back on the App Store for the last how many months. I’ve still had the app and been using it like normal just scared to accidentally delete it and loose it forever 😅. Also I’m glad the app it self is actually useful unlike the old one where it was just the extension that was important. Haven’t used the new one that much yet, but I already bumped up my old score on the old version of the app which was a 3stars before just because of a few bugs I found. Hopefully everything is better than ever with this app and even before with it being 3 stars it was the best translator for mangas I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot.

App is being updated again

The compatibility for older apple devices declined with the new update. I’m probably going to upgrade soon. So now every page flickers 0.5 seconds right before translating, and sometimes the English OCR error pops up despite the page not being in english. I cant really complain since I'm past the 5 year mark on my iPad PRO.

It’s a great service for the price.

Thank you for the kind review and the bug report! We have reproduced this bug and have a fix for it that will ship in the next release. For what it's worth, the bug was present in newer hardware as well, certain websites exhibited the problem.

iOS is being updated again… but

It’s nice to see the iOS updated again… but on my rather old ipad pro (2nd generation) the update caused every page that is translated to flicker white (flashbang) for 0.5 sec and then the translation appears.

This didn't happen before (been on a subscription for over half a year now). I’m probably going to upgrade my iPad in the future- maybe it’s cause mine is just too old.

Aside from that issue… it’s a great service for the price.

Problematic iOS release? Update: not anymore!

Gives me more problems translating multiple things then on pc and has problems even running it in safari as it just doesn’t work half the time. The thing bugs out and I try reloading the page or disabling and reinstalling the app and it barely works until the page reloads.

Edit: no longer buggy and can choose different supported translators hope they bring this app to android as well!

iOS don’t work right now so if you want to use this

Ah iOS was broken by Apple recently. A workaround is downloading the Orion Browser on iOS and then installing the regular chrome extension on it.

It’s better than most if not all alternatives

Don’t get me wrong it’s not a perfect app and you do have to pay after so many free translations. And sometimes it describes the scene (that part maybe apart of the story I'm reading can’t tell). But with this app you won’t need to constantly screen shot then upload only to get a non super accurate version. With this you only need to wait on the page for a few moments. In conclusion the only reason why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is cause the log in system is confusing (spent to long on that to admit exactly how long I spent trying to figure it out) and like I said before the translation isn’t perfect but good enough to give you a basic understanding on what’s happening and what they are saying. * About 6 months later * It has bugs for an example sometimes it won’t let you translate the next page so you have to uninstall then reinstall it, however that doesn’t fix that issue you some times have to do that over and over again. Yes the text bubble overlap is a problem, but it doesn’t happen as much as you would think. My thoughts on how to make it a better experience, add a repair button that does the same as reinstalling the app or just fix the bugs of course. Even with me changing my rating from 4 down to 3 I still think it’s better than a lot of options out there. Personally I still haven’t found a app that can do what ichigo Reader can do. So I still recommend if you can deal with the bugs. When it works it’s an amazing translator.

Don’t download!!

Honestly this app is broken and unusable, I tried to get the membership but it never translates. It’s just stuck on a pop up. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS USELESS APP.

Unbelievable bugs

When it works, it works great. However, it RARELY WORKS If you don’t immediately give it access to every website and only on a per need basis, the extension breaks and you need to reinstall the apps Translations for websites that have chapters in a long scroll form and not click to turn a page will load forever, way longer than acceptable. Do not download or pay for this if your goal is to read on IOS

Does not work properly anymore on IPad Mini

app works, but there are lots of bugs.

the app definitely works, but for some reason the text bubbles overlap each other and you cant read some of the words. And it also makes you reopen the extension like three times if you don't scroll to the bottom of the chapter
