User reviews

Great app

Works really good for what it is, seems to be constantly improving as well. Recommend!

Poor results-very inaccurate.

Many times I have driven to areas that the app said it had hailed. Waste of time and money. This app used to be very good. Until they improve, I don’t recommend using it

Notifications

I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max when I downloaded the app it worked great, got every single notification. I recently upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro Max and I stopped receiving notifications. It happens to my other iPhone 14 Pro Max as well. Have all my settings to allow notifications from this app, any suggestions?

Fake reports

I have been using this application for three years. Sometimes there are fake reports. For example, on 07/09/2021 there was hail in Des Moines, but in reality there was only 20% of what they showed in Idamage

Keeps getting worse every year.

It’s like they collected enough money and moved on. This app will show, and alert you for the minimum hail reports. It’s like they sold out to the $1600 a year apps.

FAQ

What kind of weather events does this app notify me about?

This app primarily pushes reports of thunderstorm (convective) events, including details on tornadoes, hail, and high winds. It also provides wildfire reports and thermal anomaly detections. It's important to note that watches and warnings themselves are not pushed; only reports of actual events.

Can I customize the notifications I receive?

Yes, you can configure user-specific filters to receive notifications for the entire Contiguous US, a specific state, a local area, or for particular types of severe weather like tornadoes, hail, or high winds. You can even filter by hail size.

How much does this app cost?

The application is available for free with the option for in-app purchases. Specific details on what these in-app purchases entail are not provided in the description, but the core functionality of receiving storm reports is free.

What devices is this app compatible with?

The app is designed for iPhone and iPad devices. For WiFi-only iPad users, data from your last view is cached for offline use, allowing you to access storm information even without an internet connection.

What are the main use cases for this app?

This app is ideal for storm chasers, emergency responders, and volunteers assisting communities during severe weather. It's also beneficial for individuals who want to improve their general situational awareness when storms are possible, and for those interested in tracking wildfire activity.
