This is a really useful app for note-taking and collecting ideas.
I have a feature request: please add full web clipping functionality similar to Picseed.
It should support clipping all types of online content including articles, pictures, audio, and videos, and also let users download these media files directly.
This feature would be extremely helpful for content creators and students.

Disappointing update
Very unhappy with a recent update which substitutes the AI’s summary for the transcript in the main page. I can no longer distinguish between any of my notes because the AI begins the same way on all of them. Very, very, very frustrating and disappointed with this update. I’m now looking for another note taking app to replace ideaShell.

I fully Rant an idea shell. it spits out a two second response. A thoughtful and provocative revision of what I’ve ranted to the T, no skipped insight. Truly enlightening, It’s taught me how to have effective conversations with AI. It’s best if you unload to a short degree and then stay within that context, basically, letting AI control the conversation. They are human like in that way as long as their backgrounds are minimized and cleaned up. I don’t know what ideaShell secret is, but it keeps up no matter what thank you ideaShell and I’m sorry for what I put you through lol

I love whoever made this app. But…
Better than any other app ever. However I would like a chrome extension of idea shell that can record audio INSIDE of the device (for example while using earphones) so transcribing & summarizing the audio can be super effective. Thank you

The experience is nothing short of phenomenal. I’m full of ideas and now I feel like I found the perfect way to record them.

So I had tons of training voice memos recorded on my phone. If I’m honest, I never really bothered listening to them after recording them - just knew that I needed to record them at the time. I put them all into ideaShell just now - it transcribed them and gave me a comprehensive summary of each. Asking questions to the AI like “what are the top 5 things I need to do to execute the perfect…” and it returned 5 things I need to do beautifully summarised and providing visual cues to be easily remembered. This level of insight off a few 3-4 minutes voice notes is invaluable and adds value to my training! I’m very impressed! I had stopped recording voice notes realising I never went back to them but I will definitely continue now!

Well, not all the time and not at everything but occasionally it surprises with something really clever. For instance, you want to send a note to a specific app, the AI creates the template right there. You have to see it, really impressive. Generally really good at what it does.

I own numerous voice-to-text apps for idea capturing, journaling, and dictation with prompt enhancements, so I'm familiar with the leading players in this space. I also participate in many of their Discord groups.
The minute I opened ideaShell, it was different. Its design is beautiful, to the point that it should win an award.
Getting started is effortless, and the transcription quality is outstanding, even with low volume speaking or significant background noise. The light cleanup polishes your words while ensuring your authentic voice and original ideas remain perfectly intact.
From there, a wealth of options emerge to refine and transform your text. The app offers a comprehensive suite of presets, logically organized by category, allowing you to easily view a subset before expanding to explore more.
The card-based display for transcriptions, featuring thoughtfully chosen soft colors, simplifies reading and guides your focus towards what matters. It’s a brilliant touch. You can also add various card types, including a beautifully designed to-do list that genuinely encourages engagement. Exporting tasks to your preferred management app is seamless, ensuring your actionable items are always where you need them.
The mind map feature, in particular, exceeded my expectations with its intuitive creation and polished aesthetic. For a note-taking app, the ability to import audio is a significant plus. Their generous monthly limit of 10 hours for recording or audio import, complete with a yearly rollover of unused minutes, is perfect for me. Additonal minutes are nicely priced as well.
While its beauty is undeniable, a crucial factor in user engagement, it's the seamless combination of aesthetics with powerful functionality that impresses. The ability to interact with your content, generate diverse card types, and integrate photos makes it incredibly versatile. They've nailed the simplicity, beauty, and functionality. It just works.

Amazing Tool
I signed up for the lifetime promo and used this for a 45 minute work call. I am blown away by how accurate it is and how well the AI can summarize the conversation and take away todos etc. It feels like a great investment with the lifetime offer.

Great app w awesome features. Great roadmap and frequent updates. Just wish they could implement some features other apps have like a dictionary for names or special words or a WhatsApp integration or be able to edit reminder times and details before pushing them. Would also suggest some way to move notes into folders without them showing up in the master note list to remove clutter:)
