Feature request: Viewing more image data such as Location
I like this app and would like to request a feature. More details to view such as image location would be useful.
Disappointing and painful uploads
The app interface itself is decent and easy enough to use but unfortunately the core reason I purchased the yearly subscription completely falls apart in real usage.
I bought this app expecting it to automatically upload my photos in the background. I’ve enabled everything, background processing, full photo access, all permissions, yet it simply does not work as advertised. If I don’t manually open the app and keep it running on the screen, nothing uploads. The moment the app is closed or sent to the background, uploads stop.
This defeats the entire purpose of a photo backup app. Having to constantly open the app and leave it running just to back up photos is extremely frustrating and impractical. It feels like either an inherent bug or a fundamental limitation that isn’t clearly disclosed.
If background uploads actually worked reliably, this might be a much better product

Awful sync delay
After the app message that photos are backed up checked the web dashboard and it showed “Thos folder is empty” even after 10 mins. And I paid for this service
Crashes on launch
can’t even open the app to cancel my subscription, it’s been over a year and the app just crashes on launch

Photos not getting uploaded automatically, as soon as my phone screen gets locked, photos get stopped syncing even though idrive app is open in the background
Feature request: Hidden Folder
I like this app and would like to request a feature. A hidden folder that could be unlocked with a passcode would be a great feature
Will not open - crashes - been doing this for over a yr
They refuse to fix this app. I have never been able to open it and I’ve been paying for iDrive for over a year. Makes me wonder about their reputation. Not a good look.
Bad service
My account had cancel , the payment successful but i cannot sign in to idrive, my photo can’t backup anymore, i need my old photo and videos

The price of the storage service is reflected in the quality of the app. It’s cheap but it works
DO NOT USE
So here’s the thing, I drive proves on a regular basis that they have inexperienced developers and even more clueless product managers. Both this app and their photos app are so badly designed that no one should use it. If you use their IDrive Online to backup your photos you cannot share them, if you use this app to backup your photos and remove one from their Web-based interface it DELETES the original photo from your phone. This is no better than the garbage that Apple does with iCloud. I strongly urge you to use Google Photos or Amazon Photos to backup your photos, neither of which delete your personal property when items are removed from the cloud.

Needs to be fixed
This app is not working, it use to be really good but now it doesn’t open anymore, I’m worried about my pictures getting deleted from the cloud
Something is wring with the app
This app is taking forever to upload pictures & video, both on wifi as well as 5G. No issue with network. Keeping phone on charge and app opened. I have to keep app closing & opening to upload one file.

Seems pointless
It’s a little pointless really. It doesn’t do as much as syncing to iCloud so seems to be limited in that sense and also only shows photos backed up from your phone, so if you have photos backed up from your computer you cannot see them. This means it also has less functionality than Google and Amazon photos which come in at the same price.
If you are looking for something to backup your photos but doesn’t sync changes, doesn’t allow you to compress what remains on your phone once backed up and only allows you to see photos from mobile sources then you may have a use for this though that seems like a pretty restrictive feature set.

Very bad
Unfortunately, this institution blocks the ability to work with their services from Ukraine. It is possible to communicate only through VPN. I do not recommend you to waste your time.
Crashes
Constantly crashes on start up. Doesn’t work in the background. Phone has to stay unlocked while it backs up thousands of photos and videos. Fix your app!

I was excited to see some updates finally, but now it’s somehow even worse. It doesn’t do anything. It just says no internet connection. Do not download this app or give them your money.

Awesome app for photo keeping
A great app for photo storage with competitive pricing. The only drawback is that it doesn't offer advanced search features like Google Photos, such as finding images by objects (like cars or the sea) or filtering out group photos.
App won’t even start
Will no longer launch for me. Last used a few months ago and functionality was ok but limited.
