Lost in a lost world

A great game let down by some bugs. Can’t save. Screen jumping up and down. Five stars when all fixed.

Response from developer

Please let me know which device and iOS version you are using. The commands "SAVE" and "RESTORE" appear to work fine. Please let me know what you mean by "Can't save".

Yes it is Zork, except Zork came from Dungeon

Kudos to those who realized that this is Zork. However, this was not taken from Zork. Zork was a commercial personal computer version of the already existing Dungeon game from the minicomputer world. As a kid I was playing Dungeon at my dad’s work before the Apple II was even wide spread and before Atari and Commodore computers were even for sale. This is a fun nostalgia game to play on the phone !

iDungeon

I just paid $2.99 for this game and it does not work at all. The black dos text screen comes up, but there is no way to get a keyboard and type. No choices at all. Screen is just dead????? Can this be fixed, or, I would like a refund.

Help

I Love the game but im on a 2nd generation ipod touch so how do i load a saved game?

Love It!

I, only being 14, originally played this game on Call Of Duty Black Ops under the name of, "Zork" but this version is so much better purely as now I can type using an actual keyboard! I only have one complaint which is, why does it always scroll to the topp every time you type anything? Please fix! Never the less I love it!

Aww.

I had an iPod. I dropped it in my basement. The screen completely cracked on the cement floor. I hadn't synced it. I got a new one. I wanted this app again. It wasn't free...

Amazing.

This is Zork, yes, but it was originally called Dungeon, until the people who made Dungeons and Dragons said it was copyright or something.
Either way, this is quite possibly my favourite app.

Awesome game

I say apple should allow app development tools and these people should make a full pdp11 emulator cause that would be really awesome. Though this is as close as we can get now I still love playing dungeon but I can't get back into the game after accidentally quiting!

Is This Zork?

If this is Zork then it's a huge game! It may literally take you days to finish it. You definitely need to draw a map to keep from getting lost. I'm not kidding. Good luck!

OK-ish

It's a shame I was enjoying this game until a box appeared warning me about low memory, I deleted a few apps I could live without and then went back to the game but it still tells me I have low memory and won't let me play. I found this very annoying.

.

On call of duty black ops when you get out of the chair and go to the computer type in ZORK to play the exact game

How cool could it be?!

It's all it use to be except that everyone else is missing. I love the fact that it feels like coming home and I think there is only one thing that needs to be added. I hope soon there will the possibility of multiuser so that it will really be like it should be.

Great game, lots of adventures to be had and great lands to explore. Find your own true hero by discovering all you can be in your own world with no limitations.

Headache

This game gives me a serious headache but I just cant stop playing it...can't get to many things but the help command did help me out at the beginning...overall it's ok :)

Hard but entertaining

Great game although I thought this game was called zork???

Idungeon

I haven't gotten very far in this. Game doesn't seem to understand many commands. I am at the canyon and have no clue what to do? Anyone? I do have a jewel encrusted egg though. Lol. Also saw a clearing and a house but couldn't get to them. Help! Really want to get further in this game.

Help plz...

How do u get past the engravings room to go southeast?? Anyone?
Besides being stuck there, it's a rlly fun game.

A small blast of nostalgic fun

Ah, text adventures on old mainframes! Marvellous. This is a seemingly faithful reproduction of one of the original Adventure's early descendants. Great fun, and thank goodness you can use a landscape mode keyboard.

Loses 1 star for the annoying scroll-to-top-then-back-to-bottom behaviour after every input, but that might be how the original PDP 11 did it. Still, it's a bit of a drag. Other than that, this really is worthwhile if you like this sort of game.

A small tip: save your current position with SAVE and load it again with RESTORE
