I can view an IFC on my phone and I can check quantities of objects and loads of different tools, it’s been so helpful for my work. Highly recommend!!

Hi, I rarely leave positive reviews but I felt this time I had too! This app saved my project! If it wasn't for the app and its vast tools then my project would have failed. I learnt so much from the apps unlock all tools, having so many at my disposal that I knew all my clashes, quantities and project health etc. It really did save me money and headaches before they happened! Brilliant little IFC app for Mac

Really impressed with this.

I needed a straightforward way of opening and reviewing IFC files on my Mac without having to fire up much heavier software every time. For £2.99 this does the job extremely well. Models load quickly, moving around them is smooth, and it's easy to get to the information you actually need.

After using it for a while I decided to buy the Unlock All option. That was definitely the right choice for me, as the extra tools make the app much more useful for proper model checking and day-to-day BIM work. I also preferred getting everything in one purchase rather than picking features individually.

One of the biggest positives is how accessible it is. You don't need to spend ages learning the interface before you can start inspecting a model, checking properties, taking measurements or digging into the IFC data.

For anyone regularly receiving IFC models, especially those working in construction, architecture or engineering, it's a very handy app to have installed.

Excellent value for the initial £2.99, and the full unlock makes it even better.

Outstanding IFC Viewer - Fast, Professional and Worth the Upgrade

Ive tried a lot of IFC Viewers over the years, and this has quickly become my go-to on MacOS. The app opens even large IFC models surprisingly quickly, navigation is smooth, and the interface is clean and easy to understand. I mainly use it for checking models before coordination meetings, reviewing consultant models, and quickly validating IFC exports without needing heavyweight BIM software. The feature that convinced me to purchase the Unlock All upgrade was having everything available in one place. Being able to inspect properties, isolate elements, review classifications, measure, section the model, and access the additional BIM tools saves a huge amount of time. It’s much cheaper than maintaining another full BIM licence just for viewing and checking models. What I also like is that the app feels like it has been built by someone who actually works with IFC files rather than just displaying them. The workflow makes sense, performance is excellent, and updates continue to add genuinely useful functionality. If you’re an architect, engineer, BIM coordinator, contractor or even a client who regularly receives IFC models, I highly recommend this app!

What an app!

Ive got this app on iOS too, but MacOS is where it’s at! Unlocking all tools has made this a 1 stop shop for all my IFC work. From other comments I can see it can be slow for large IFCs, but if your ifcs are over 500mb then you need your head shaking and not this app! Maybe they can implement a tool to reduce the size!

Funktioniert absolut nicht

Ich kann mich einer bereits vorhandenen Bewertung nur anschließen. Ich finde es sehr merkwürdig, dass man die App vorab nicht testen kann und direkt 2,99 € bezahlen muss. Nach meiner Erfahrung hoffe ich wirklich, dass das keine Masche ist. Ich habe dieselbe IFC-Datei anschließend mit einer anderen, kostenlosen App getestet. Dort wurde die Datei innerhalb weniger Sekunden problemlos importiert und angezeigt. Bei dieser App hingegen startet zwar der Import, sie reagiert dabei jedoch kaum oder nur sehr träge. Ein erfolgreiches Öffnen bzw.. Anzeigen der IFC-Datei war bei mir leider überhaupt nicht möglich. Schade, nur so ist die App in ihrem aktuellen Zustand jedoch leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Das von Ihnen beschriebene langsame bzw. kaum reagierende Importverhalten entspricht nicht dem, was wir von der App erwarten. Wenn dieselbe Datei in einer anderen Anwendung problemlos geöffnet werden kann, möchten wir die Ursache unbedingt untersuchen und die Kompatibilität verbessern. Bitte kontaktieren Sie uns über den Support-Link im App Store und teilen Sie uns nach Möglichkeit Ihr Gerät, die Dateigröße und die Software mit, aus der die IFC-Datei exportiert wurde. Fantastic tool!

Fantastic tool for quick wins, cheaper than the big brands and does the job. The new Pro tools are great with a good selection and option to buy them all. Worth investing for sure!

O problema acontece ao importar um arquivo IFC, abrir a visualização 3D ou após uma compra? Por favor, entre em contato pelo link de Suporte na página da App Store e, se possível, informe o tamanho e a origem do arquivo ou envie uma gravação da tela. Assim conseguiremos reproduzir o problema e garantir que você tenha acesso ao que comprou.

Thanks for the feedback. We’re actively working on viewer performance for larger IFC models, including a newer model-loading engine and improved optimisation/caching so files should open more reliably and reload faster in future updates. Sorry it was slow for you — this is exactly the area we’re improving.

Needs UPDATE for UI

The app still seems to have bugs in the UI for the iPad. Left and right panels do not close, the background and text colors make viewing menus difficult. This app needs improvements in its UI for a better experience.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. In v1.4.2 we improved iPad panel behavior, toolbar responsiveness, and visual clarity/contrast in key UI areas. Please update and test again. If a panel still won’t close on your iPad, send us the exact steps and iPadOS version through App Support and we’ll prioritize a targeted fix.

Funktioniert nicht!

Der Import von IFC-Dateien funktioniert bei mir nicht. Habe versucht die Dateien aus dem OneDrive und vom lokalen Speicher zu importieren. Geht leider gar nicht. Dafür das man sofort 2,99€ bezahlen muss und die App nicht erstmal testen kann echt unverschämt.

Vielen Dank für dein Feedback und entschuldige die Probleme. Mit Version 1.4.2 haben wir Import- und 3D-Stabilität verbessert sowie klarere Lade-/Fehlermeldungen für große IFCs ergänzt. Bitte aktualisieren und erneut testen. Wenn der Import weiterhin fehlschlägt, sende uns bitte Gerät, iOS-Version, Speicherort (z. B. OneDrive/lokal) und Dateiname über den App-Support-Link.
