Independence for Apple Watch

The Apple Watch 4 as well the 3 had a barometer so this app should be independent of the iPhone. So why do I need my iPhone nearby to have the barometer to work on my watch ????
What’s the point???

Response from developer

Thanks for the input. An update to the iGadget App (version 3.3) will be released in the next 24-48 hours and this will use the barometer of the iOS/watchOS directly for atmospheric pressure, where possible. All recent iPhones provide barometric pressure but it appears that on Apple Watch this is available to 3rd party Apps only since Apple Watch Series 3 (on Apple Watch Series 2, and on devices where access to the Barometer has been restricted or denied by the user, the iGadget App will continue to use the current implementation, which obtains the atmospheric pressure from the latest local weather report). Thanks for using iGadget!

Just crashes on the apple watch (series 4)

Looks cool, works on the iphone, but can't get it to work on the apple watch (which is what I bought it for).

Response from developer

There appears to be a compatibility problem with a watchOS Framework on Watch OS 5.x. An update (version 3.3) of the iGadget App is currently in test and should address this problem. Please try installing version 3.3, once it becomes available. And please don't hesitate to let me know if there is still a problem running iGadget on your Apple Watch (contact via https://palacesoftwareltd.wordpress.com/support/). Thanks for using iGadget!

Rien ne marche correctement

Je déconseille rien n’est fiable dans l’application
