Bluetooth Connection
I installed 4 Bluetooth light setups at my workplace. 3 worked well and one failed to connect. I have found it easy to connect, name the light run and set intensity. I have had some trouble getting the lights to run on the timers when set. I think the app needs an update to correct this issue. I followed the instructions. It is lighting for a school camp premises and it would be ideal for it to work. Would love a solution.

Taking this back to the shop
Here’s an idea. Use an app so you can set watering times / zones etc . Sell the device that has an independent clock which is I reckon twice the speed of ordinary time and randomly jumps forward . Result the 3 watering times get missed or if triggered run for a fraction of the time eg 5 mins not 30 that I set . These products are not fit for purpose . I will never buy another Holman product again . Having spent hours setting up irrigation lines I now have to get friends and family to check the plants are watered . It’s in the garden but imagine a fire sprinkler system that just doesn’t work when you get a fire .

Terrible
Doesn’t do what it says it does. Manual watering only works for 15 seconds then shuts off. Automatic doesn’t appear to work either. App experience is buggy, confusing, poorly executed. I don’t know how they could make this worse than it is
Waste of money
The watering app itself is ok, set up the timer with no issues but the actual product is rubbish. The battery pack isn’t waterproof, fills with water when it rains and rusts out the batteries. No point in a product designed for the outside that leaks and fills with water. 🙄
Starts and stops
In manual mode it works well. BX2 turns on the water and it stays on for the specified duration.
In automatic mode it starts and stops every 10 seconds. I’ve followed all the debugging instructions, changed the batteries, varied the water pressure, both up and down - all to no avail. Nothing complicated in the system - just a single watering schedule.

Not working anymore
Battery indication level does not go down when batteries are flat. My Holman was not watering at all as batteries were flat and the app still indicates full battery so I had no idea until I checked the lawn for moisture after scheduled watering.
What’s the point
Sure, you can program your irrigation from your phone when in Bluetooth range,
But you’ve always been able
to do the same on the control box directly. The app doesn’t even show you which station is currently running and requires you to be close to the control box to work. A bit pointless really. How about some smart automation depending upon on location and rainfall? Basically using something from the 90’s.

Stopped working
It worked for my first bought it, but then I went to move it and now it won’t work and my phone can’t seem to find it any more. All I’m trying to do is do an update but now nothing is working. The older model was a lot better. That’s the blue one.

Been using one for over 10 years. never a problem.
Easy to use
Found it easy to use. However, when in manual mode the valve pulsates by switching on and off every 20 seconds. But works ok in automatic mode.
Tap timer
Overall nice product, but needs some improvements, would be nice for the app to request status to show running run time and also when manual watering is selected from the front onboard button
Frustrating and disappointing
Bought a house with a lovely lighting set up. Unable to use it due to the this crappy app and it’s inability to connect to Bluetooth. Yes I have reset my phone and unplugged for 5 minutes as suggested in troubleshooting. Feeling Very frustrated and disappointed.
Terrible App
This app is easy to set up noting you need to have a dedicated Bluetooth device always present for the scheduling to work. Unfortunately once the scheduling has been saved it does not work. The first week was good but since then it self delete’s the scheduling or just doesn’t turn when it a schedule has saved. The whole purpose of this app is the Bluetooth scheduling which is a fail. NO STARS if I could.

Why don’t they fix this app, clearly everyone’s having issues. I just bought 2 of these for home can’t connect so it’s going back

The garden lights and support are great, but since recent updates, either iOS or the app, the time is no longer shown when trying to set on and off periods for the controlled garden lights. Three dots (…) are displayed – that’s it! As a result, it’s impossible to set switch on and switch off times which is the whole point. The simple app is the only way to control the garden lights. Don’t need to use it often though once set. Holman support have been great, so I look forward to a solution.

Buggy
There is a bug whereby if the last sprinkler system used was not number 1, when you open the app and use manual mode it shows sprinkler 1 but activates the last one used. Very annoying.
Useless
Fix your app please, can’t control the timer at all, it’s ridiculous to think timer function is so hard to do right!

Poorly thought out app
I have the BX4 watering system. This app made me regret my purchase. Difficult to perform basic operations like scrolling without changing a timer inadvertently. Limited to only one line watering at a time. Extremely basic timer logic only designed for watering each line sequentially. Allows you to set conflicting watering durations without warning. Frustrating to say the least…
