Not a digital realbok

The app gives an impression that this is a kind of a digital realbook which is absolutely not. Waste of money for me

Waste of time and Money!!!!!

The purchase option is well above the Major caution in the script add that there is NO MUSIC CONTENT in this app! What a greasy, sleazy trick!!!

APP DOESN’T WORK!!!

This app is terrible!! Doesn’t work and they charge you $10 for a app that you have to upload music to.

Misleading App with No Sheet Music

I purchased the app thinking that I would be getting a digital “Real Book”/sheet music situation for gigs. It is not that. It merely indexes music that you must upload into the app yourself. I spoke with a rep who informed me that they clearly tell you in ALL CAPS that they do not provide music. However, it is at the bottom of the page. They use misleading words in the intro like “FREE BONUS! Over 1300 Jazz Chord charts“, and “the ultimate pocket song reference”, which sells you on the idea, that you’re getting more of what you think you’re already getting. That’s all before you can get to the actual truth about the app at the bottom of the page...
I was informed that I can’t get a refund because it’s through Apple, so I will leave $20 worth of wisdom here, IN CAPS:
BE UPFRONT AND HONEST ABOUT WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU’RE SELLING, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON’T OFFER REFUNDS. Other than that, 5 star app, 2 star loss for the aforementioned issues.

Thank you for acknowledging that we mention in our 257 word description of the app the following: * iGigBook Mobile DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY PDF BOOKS, IT ONLY PROVIDES THE INDEXES FOR THE BOOKS. We don't know how much more honest we can be than that and all we can do is provide the information. We cannot make you read the information nor can we make you ask follow up questions. Your responsibility as a purchaser is to evaluate the information made available to you and if you're unclear about something ask follow up questions. You are a prominent bassist in the Chicago area that's played with many influential players and it's safe to assume that you know lots about music and sheet music. You know sheet music isn't free, you know about copyrights and royalties. The question is this: Armed with this knowledge how would you think for $9.99 you're getting thousands of dollars of sheet music for free?

Waste of money

It does not provide any sheet music. You must already own pdf files for each tune. Don’t waste $10.

Avoid this app

This app is so complicated. It has layers of stuff. I have PDFs in drop box and the app just grays them out. The app is a ripoff and I want my money back. I have used deepDish Gigbook on my iPad for years and there seems to be no easy way to import the hundreds of lyrics into this app. The app seems to be a scam

Misleading App

It’s just a manager app. You DO NOT have access to any jazz standard PDFs unless you own them. I just wasted $10.

We clearly state in the product description that no PDF files are included in the app. We also encourage users to ask questions before they buy if they are not sure if iGigBook Mobile will do what they want it to do.

Very hard to get working

I must be missing something! There is nothing easy or intuitive about this app. Hard as I might, the instructions simply don’t work for me. Aside from a few songs that came with the app, I have never been able to add anything. Save your money folks.

Excellent app for its true purpose

The negative reviewers appear to have misunderstood the main purpose of this app, that is to find and view specific pages of indexed large PDF files quickly - especially when on a gig! I know of no other app which does this specific job, and me and my jazz friends use this all the time (usually the iPad version) but this is good on iPhone 5. Invaluable! One mark off as problem with song search if multiple finds - cannot scroll properly (iPhone 5) but haven't checked forum yet.

Really happy with this app.
Love having my sheetmusic at my fingertips in digital form for easy access and how my set lists are getting organized!

Good to see it being updated

I don't use this app to gig with but it has come through for me so many time in the past when I needed a quick look at a melody. The latest update adds some of the great features present in the iPad version such as expanded export to Airdrop, Airprint and import from iCloud, Dropbox and Google Drive. I don't always have my tablet with me, but I do alwas have my phone which means quick access to my library anytime and any place.

My fake books on the go

I bought the iPad version first. Quickly loaded it with my fake books & using the indexes was all set. Most worked right away, and the few that didn't I found out were missing pages which I fixed. Decided to get the iPhone version as figured it may be useful to call up tunes when didn't have iPad on me....it has!! Which was a universal app so iPad & iPhone were one, but other then that love it and worth another purchase
