Why

This app creates three identical copies of one capture each time it detects lightning to make it seem like it’s catching more than it is, other than that it gets the job done and catches lightning so can’t complain too much

Not good

In the past I’ve had good results. I now have the iPhone 14Pro. We had a huge lightning storm last night and I got a thousand pictures of nothing. Very disappointing to say the least.

No good

Very poor, not worth your time.
Set it up during a very active storm, it took 27 photos in about 5 minutes, 25 of a cloudy sky in low res. 2 photos with anything in them showed a blurry horizontal white line?
The free version is low res to drive people to the paid version but why would anyone pay money when the demo is so poor. Honestly you’re way better off setting your phone to video a storm then pulling out screenshots

Comes out blurry

During my current storm , I set up the app,
And few bolts have appeared.
Sadly, the app has blurred them. I’ve played around with settings. And nothing is helping. So I’ve set settings it back to auto,
Just comes out blurry. (Strike won’t show, only the light around it).

Pretty upset about this now.

Meh, timing was a little late

I used this on “auto” mode where it triggers by itself. Problem was by the time the shutter opened, the big visible lightning bolt had dissipated so all I kept getting was a background glow in the sky.

Also, kind of a funny side effect with this app on iPhone XS (without the home button) is when I’d swipe up to go to home screen, it kept thinking I was changing one of the menus. Was hard to quit out of! Haha.

Anyway as for capturing lightning, I had better results with a long exposure app.

Didn’t work

Using iPhone 11 Pro. Phone was on tripod. Lightning triggered shutter but always seemed too late and never captured it.

App needs an update.

Worst lightning app ever!!!

Very awkward to use and the lightning wasn’t even showing on the camera. Defo wouldn’t buy the paid version.

Lightning

Works pretty good for a free App...just need patience...seems to automatically adjust the lens speed and triggered by sudden brightness...👍...I have an iPhone 6s...

Amazing!

I'm running this on a 4.5 year old iPhone 4s. The pictures I get are fantastic. Wow.

Amazing! Never lets me down

This app is so easy to use and gets great pics of lightning. I was always too slow on the camera button, now I don't have to worry. I don't know how it does it, but it does it so well!

Love it

I use both versions of the app the original and the second Version
They both work very well
Have gotten some phenomenal lightning photos. Not disappointed that's for sure. If you don't have this app you need to try it for the new user will take a little getting used to but it's worth it

Puzzled

Tried the camera and ended up with 4 pictures that I don't know how they got there. There is no visible tap button on screen and it's impossible to get the pic you want when you don't know where the button is. Please add visible tap button on the screen.

Love love love this app

it is so cool to get good pic of lighting I want the full thing now too bad I don't got enough r money it would be perfect to get the full app definitely a keeper

Nope

Does not catch the majority of lightning, even with sensitivity set to max and lightning size set to small. When it does catch one in time, it is often a photo with clouds and a faint white horizontal line across the photo. I have managed to catch a couple of good ones, but at the time expense of dozens of missed lightnings.

Took great photos when expected

Don't be in a hurry as there a few questions to answer to get to the photo part but took great photos. Questions are essential to get light and focus right. Good app.

Best ever

Best app I have ever seen it really works! I wanna rate this 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 STARS

Works well, takes a little practice

Really cool app, will one day buy the full version for HD shots! Also works with fireworks which is pretty sweet

Balls

I have a big pinga.

Doesn't work with my iPhone 4s

There was a great thunderstorm yesterday and it missed every lightning bolt. The app worked right and took a picture with the lightning, but none of the pictures had any lightning in them. Maybe it only works with the iPhone 5.

Amazing

Incredible that you can achieve this with a phone! Have taken some brilliant pictures seriously considering buying the full version just hope we have some more lightning :o)
