Why
This app creates three identical copies of one capture each time it detects lightning to make it seem like it’s catching more than it is, other than that it gets the job done and catches lightning so can’t complain too much
Not good
In the past I’ve had good results. I now have the iPhone 14Pro. We had a huge lightning storm last night and I got a thousand pictures of nothing. Very disappointing to say the least.
No good
Very poor, not worth your time.
Set it up during a very active storm, it took 27 photos in about 5 minutes, 25 of a cloudy sky in low res. 2 photos with anything in them showed a blurry horizontal white line?
The free version is low res to drive people to the paid version but why would anyone pay money when the demo is so poor. Honestly you’re way better off setting your phone to video a storm then pulling out screenshots

Comes out blurry
During my current storm , I set up the app,
And few bolts have appeared.
Sadly, the app has blurred them. I’ve played around with settings. And nothing is helping. So I’ve set settings it back to auto,
Just comes out blurry. (Strike won’t show, only the light around it).
Pretty upset about this now.

Meh, timing was a little late
I used this on “auto” mode where it triggers by itself. Problem was by the time the shutter opened, the big visible lightning bolt had dissipated so all I kept getting was a background glow in the sky.
Also, kind of a funny side effect with this app on iPhone XS (without the home button) is when I’d swipe up to go to home screen, it kept thinking I was changing one of the menus. Was hard to quit out of! Haha.
Anyway as for capturing lightning, I had better results with a long exposure app.
