Lunar Phase does not work
Despite months trying the lunar phase option does NOT work on my iPhone. It overrides the night brightness u set and. Leaves the lights on very bright indeed all month.
It does this even if u set the 3 nighttime colour levels to zero (ie =off)

Well, this is embarrassing!
After buying the Luminair light, at ÂŁ500, I was excited to set up this well built bit of kit. After all, TMC is a well trusted and established expert in the marine world.
Then the issue starts - the app. It’s appalling. If and when it connects, you can’t stay connected to your WiFi. It can’t even detect my 2 bands, 2.4 and 5ghz so have to go through one of my extenders. It will only connect once and then kicks you out and I’m unable to connect or control my light - really annoying when trying to set up ready for a new aquarium.
Really disappointed, I expected more from TMC.

Stoped working and no updates
The app doesn’t work, it’s stopped working totally and there are no updates available.

i can't connect wifi after less than one year use. expensive but low quality product and app.
Keeps freezing
I got this when I inherited the v2 900 light with no remote. To set up by Wi-Fi you have to stand right next to the light also if you move away from it sticks in the connecting wheel so it isn’t easy to set up and amend.
I know tmc have a connect app with light feature coming soon I can only hope it’s better then this one.

It’s ok but…
The storm function only stays on for 1 minute before going back to normal setting, you can’t turn on the function after lights out, it doesn’t ramp up and ramp down slowly it just changes with the time of day.
The app is buggy, if you connect it to Wi-Fi it will keep kicking you off it.

Time settings broken
The time setting on the app isn’t working, I’m having to manually reset the time everyday just to get the light to turn on.
Rubbish App
App is crap. Crashes constantly. Time and therefore settings don’t update. Timing failed whilst I was on a short trip away. Completely unreliable.

The developers Zetlight don’t respond to queries so you’ll be left with a very expensive piece which you cannot control correctly

Worst app EVER
What can I say about this app. If it worked it would be pretty good but I only managed to connect once! Now I have to live with the settings I was only playing with...
In future I will read every single review before buying a TMC product as this app renders these lights almost useless.
In all seriousness I’m embarrassed for the developers, I think “uncle Bob” could have done a better job in a free afternoon!

Does what is says on the tin
The main thing that I have been advised in this hobby is consistency is the key and not to fiddle!
This app works well with the light unit and when it is set, it’s easy. Click the acclimation mode when adding a new coral and it automatically adjusts intensity over 10 days so no changing settings.
Cloudy and lightning modes are pretty cool.
One downside is the blue LED which is either on or off, it would be nice to be able to select off on the night mode but on for the others. It looks great, but at night when you want darkness in the tank, the blue LED gives off too much light.
So a nice update would be to be able to select the blue LED either on or off in each mode.

Terrible
The most unstable bug ridden featureless app I have ever used and I’m stuck with it.
Sadly it’s the only way to control the lights and you don’t find out how bad it is until after you have shelled out North of £500 for the lights.
The lights are great but if I’d known how bad the app was I’d have shopped elsewhere, it’s that much of a problem!!

Absolute Garbage
I can’t understand how a Company like TMC would release an expensive light accompanied but such a complete and utter useless app which by the way is the only way you can control your new light! The app constantly crashes, it hasn’t been updated in forever and for over a £500 light is quite honestly pathetic. SORT IT OUT TMC! One thing for certain - I wouldn’t let ZETLIGHT GROUP develop a beer mat for me! Absolutely shocking and disgusting to take your money for equipment then abandon the only means of controlling it! Please update the app and sort it out

APP won’t open
Literally just got the light home V2iLumenAir 900 and was going to set it up using the APP. That would be nice but the APP won’t open. As another reviewer said the APP won’t stop buffering so can’t control the lights and at roughly £500 quid I’m not happy! Why offer something that doesn’t actually work!!

Easy to use and way easier than programming the V2iLumenAir non WiFi range great light great price and u can use cloud mode i have 3 of the V2iLumenAir 600 and now 2 of the 50w compacts

The settings keep changing by itself, the time is always wrong so lights come on or turn off at different times when set correctly, I have to do it manually everyday!

Desperately needs an update!
So I am now the proud owner of a TMC ilumenair 600. Love the light in comparison to my previous lights (Aquarays). What is disappointing slightly is the app.
You guys are still selling this light at a pretty high cost (£299.99) so the fact that you haven’t updated the app in over two years is atrocious!
The slider is too sensitive and it is annoying that you have to let it go to actually see the change take place. Also, it is a very old app (in App Store terms) therefore the screen size is not compatible with my phone (iPhone X).
Would be great to have a light curve feature + some indication of what Kelvin you are putting out with the different settings. It’s definitely more important for me (and most reefers I would hope) to get the right spectrum for my tank than what “looks pretty”.

V2 ilumen air
Terrible app can not connect the app to the WiFi and so my lights and settings are stuck in the same mode as when I first got it

Really disappointed for the money!! £500+ I think you should be able to set the lights to gradually ramp up and down over the day and not just jump from 1 setting to the next. Should be an easy app update but not had 1 for over a year I won’t get me hopes up. Disappointed with tmc on this 1
