What's new in 2.3.1 This release is mostly about making sure the app tells you the truth. • Signing in and creating an account are now separate. Signing in can no longer create a second account by mistake, and if we don't recognise your email we say so instead of quietly starting over. • We remember how you last signed in — with Apple, Google, or your email — so you land back in the right account. • Home is honest about your protection. If you have no one to alert yet, it says so plainly rather than implying you're covered. • Emergency location sharing has been repaired. If we can't get your location, your contacts are told that too, instead of an alert that looks complete. • You can turn off the early check-in reminder: Settings › Check-in › Advanced. • Phone numbers now default to your own country, so contacts are saved in a form we can actually text. Fall detection is available on Protect Me and Protect Me On The Move. It stays off until you switch it on, uses your phone's motion sensors, checks on you first, and alerts the contacts you chose — never emergency services. Best-effort, and not a medical device.
