When I am trying to find IMAX theatres in Perth WA in Australia, it shows that there is no theatres in that location when there has been 2 IMAX theatres opened in Perth since Mid December 2025. IMAX PLS UPDATE YOUR APP TO SHOW NEW AND RECENT IMAX THEATRES

Haven’t seen a new full screen IMAX trailer or Nolan prologue in a year.
Location not working
I could not select the imax in my city (Melbourne), said there was not a theater there. None in Australia. All I wanted was to get alerted when a certain movie was showing again.

There’s nothing past the black screen
The app literally doesn’t work. I don’t know how this even got past Apple’s review.
Can’t get past the black screen
90% of the time when I open this app, it freezes at the black screen that sometimes says IMAX, and other times the title doesn’t even appear. Very disappointing. I hope the developer resolves this.
App is terrible
I just want to see what movies are showing where and when. Half the locations I pick show nothing. The app is clunky and very bad UX. Try again imax.
So close yet so far
I love IMAX in person, especially the new IMAX GT laser theaters. These are the only experiences that rival the Vision Pro. However, the Vision Pro still allows me to enjoy IMAX anywhere, so its a shame the app feels like its missing a lot of things that are pretty easy wins. The first is you can only seem to rent videos, not buy. Even if the price was higher, I always opt for buying and dislike renting digital media. Put it in there for $100, I would still rather buy and know I can come back anytime rather than enjoy during an arbitrary rental window, its the wrong model for private viewing. Secondly, the library is a sliver of what IMAX has in its library. I hope we get the films that make IMAX great, like Oppenheimer, TRON, Lord of The Rings. Its a great app but unfortunately falls short for creative and UX decisions that feel like they were made by the marketing and finance dept, not the creative and UX dept.

Useless in Australia
If you can’t search for Melbourne, Australia then don’t publish your app in Australia, the whole setup process is cumbersome and a waste of time. Not only is it a waste of time but you have to sign up BEFORE you can use the app and find out this app is a waste of time.

The app is not ready for general use.
Useless App — do not bother with it
The first major flaw is that when creating an account, it REJECTS highly secure passwords suggested by keychain, forcing you to make up one yourself.
Second, it forces you to pick ONLY ONE theater in your area. There are three in my area, and having to make each one my “current” one in order to see anything about it is ridiculous.
Third, it doesn’t even show what’s currently playing at ANY theater.
My guess is that this app has been completely abandoned by the vendor, but not removed from the App Store.

Rental only
Such a shame that this is rental only I love IMAX and I would definitely purchase, but I am not going to pay the same price for a rental and it does not say how long the rental cost for

This app is amazing. It truly shows the potential of Apple Vision Pro. I was impressed with the 2D movies, but then they added 3D movies and it took it to the next level. It truly feels like you’re in an IMAX movie theater. It is a truly immersive experience. Thank you to the developers who have worked hard on making this app happen.
My only suggestion is to make the movies available for purchase instead of renting. The movies on here are demo material and sometimes I just want to show clips of some of the movies to friends and family. But it would get too expensive to rent a movie every time I want to show my friends or family a demonstration of the IMAX app. I would rather pay more to buy so I can watch any time. Or another suggestion is to switch to a monthly or yearly subscription model that would give access to all the movies similar to other streaming video apps. Renting movies on here every time I want to watch a few minutes of demo material gets really expensive otherwise. Thank you again to the developers. You guys have made an awesome app. Hope to also see actual movies on here and not just the documentaries.

This app on Apple Vision Pro has so much potential, and yet none of the latest iMax content is being published here. Just watched Blue Giants in person. Why isn’t it here??? Upcoming dolphin movie - guess I’ll have to go see it in theaters. AVP is the perfect hardware to publish these titles at home.
