Too many ads to get simple info. Way too many taps to get to the search bar. I’m only comparing it to how it used to be.

What used to be the go to movie app is now just trash rigged voting that you need to SIGN IN to access. They delete reviews and get paid up hold off publishing. Get f.

Devastated to be asked to link “my” Amazon account with IMDB. I actively boycott Amazon, due to its myriad unethical practices. I will NOT be doing any linking.

came here to advise this ap chews through data. But it seems I'd already said that previously- this month - I've used the ap maybe 4 times, watched maybe 5 previews- and it's used a massive 2.3 gigs of data?!
And remember kids it's "not a streaming service" - that's the equivalent of about 1.5hrs worth of a movie, no chance I watched 90mins of previews- fix it!
Unlimited phone data plans don't exist in Australia.
I watched about 20mins of previews today, to find later it had consumed 1.5GIGS!!! Of my data!!! Didn’t even watch all of each 2min vid- which may also be an issue, either way, it couldn’t have been more 15 that I scrolled past.
1.5gigs! That’s half my monthly data allocation!

The IMDB uses a formula to compile reviews vs counting all reviews. Reviews are now compromised and reflect only the narratives supported by IMDB
Ads are unbearable
The Amazon ads are so sensitive. I am certain you look at them and the app triggers that it was clicked
Once great app gone down the toilet
You can't do anything without an account anymore and the ads are intrusive. Trash.
Forced Prime notifications
Being owned by Amazon, IMDb does not allow Prime notifications to be disabled.
What once was
It used to be really, really good. Lost its way to intrusive and scammy ads. It hijacks your browser as you scroll. It’s nearly scam-ware now. I recently uninstalled it for fear it was a virus.
Unusable
The recent desperate switch to aggressive ads that dynamically cover content and randomly causes unwanted scrolling rendered this decades old app useless.

Hard to use on iPad
I shouldn’t have to google how to view the full cast. The iPad ui is so badly designed. I go get my phone sometimes instead.
Why so bad when the android version is great?
Wow! I am a bit shocked at how bad and unusable the iOS version is when the android version is so good. It feels like vibe coded ai slop.
Ad placement
Like everyone else, I love this app and use it frequently, but the most recent update has made it impossible to use without opening up ads by accident. Very frustrating.
Ads open web site without clicking
They decided that just looking at the app would open websites related to adds. Crazy. Never seen such aggressive add placement.

Keeps Freezing
Every time I try to scroll up and down episode lists it freezes. I have to shut down the app and re-start it. Very annoying!
