The title says it all. I can’t scroll without the stupid ads opening my browser or another app.
Fake As Clicks
App keeps spawning browser as if I clicked on an ad, when the ad wasn’t even displayed and all I’ve done is start to scroll.

Frequently locks up
The app used to be great. Then they made accessing some reviews require an account. Now it frequently locks up, and the only way to un-wedge it is to quit the app and reopen it. Maybe it just works better with an account. I’ll never know

App & website remove reviews they don’t like.
Any valid criticism of woke plots, remakes sequels etc and the rampant ideology propaganda, White Culture erasure and appropriations and gender/race/sexuality swaps for DEI falsehoods offensive to Whites, Christians and anyone that’s not covered by protected category status, all this he e declined, rejected and even wiped out of the Apple Store reviews.
There’s widespread suspiciously high ratings for woke movies that a significant percentage of reviewers disliked which suggests vote manipulation (another form of making negative feedbacks disappear from “cash cows” and pet causes).
My few reviews that were accepted got through with 1 or 2 downvotes already attached, straight out of the review “desk” which leads me to believe that there is an organised in-house practice of affecting the rates and reviews process. Idk if this is done by real persons affiliated to the company, or groups outsourced to vote this way or that, film industry entities, lobbies, bots or what but whatever it is, the common thread is woke, Left ideology and propaganda.
Also, I just gave IMDb 3 stars and 5 minutes later it was gone, then I gave it 2 stars and it’s gone walkies again. I’m redoing the latter and checking it it’s also wiped out after.
I’ll save it, share, screenshot and check up on it later, and if it’s gone again I will enquire directly and escalate it as it is our right… still.
Last: the stars keep resetting, allowing for an unknown amount of ratings by the same person, which adds to the suspicion that there is an apparent systematic culture of false scores.
If my input continues being tampered with and cut out like a contagious disease I’m seriously considering moving to greener pastures. Plenty have easy import/export features that make the change painless except for how worthless a person feels after such experiences with a service or community with which we’ve been for years.

This app should be banned from the app store. It is constantly automatically clicking on ads and forwarding me out of the app to web pages from the ads. That stuff is complete garbage and the developers of this app are obviously trash! More corporate greed

When you click on a genre like Dark Comedy it does not list movies belonging to that category any longer.

The new UI from a few years ago is still just a “cleaner looking” downgrade of the old one. News section is worthless close to 80% of the time. No more message boards.

Constantly kicked out
All of a sudden I keep getting session expired and have to resign in, losing my history etc. Great update guys!
People are nonsensical to make it sound nice
Most people have very little to no taste in movies and somehow find joy in thinking the completely incorrect ratings are either believed by others or even matter even in the slightest. That said the app itself is well made

Useless sign in
This app is overall cool, but the fact that I have to constantly sign in and all of my search history gets lost sucks!!!

NO I don’t want amazon. NO I don’t need amazon. I shouldn’t need to be required to have an amazon account to sign up to get reviews. IMDB is NOT the only place to get information. This edict just means I’ll be spending less time on IMDB. Are you happy with that?

Wow. Loved IMDB. Now, with recent update I have to sign into my Amazon account just to access reviews? Really? Such a shame. I have used IMDb for many years, as long as I had a smart phone in fact. Don’t recall anything negative about the app, in fact encouraged family members to use it. Sorry, not sorry IMDb, you’ll soon be la vague memory. Your App has been deleted. Entertainment information and reviews are now being acquired by another entity. Greed gets you nowhere. Not sure why an Amazon account is needed to access the same information that has been available for years without it. Just hope others understand the consequences of linking an Amazon account could possibly create with financial information. Be sure to read their privacy terms.
