notifications now?
IMDB is my most-used app. I love keeping up with new movie news, trailers, etc. After the recent update, I now have one of those ubiquitous red badges that I have to clear every time I open it by opening a page of notifications which are just ads.
It’s a small thing, but it sucks to see another cool app go the way of the attentions economy and incorporate the same bothersome elements that make everything else more stressful and less fun to use.
I’m looking for an alternative now. Probably Letterboxd? Anyone have suggestions for other apps to keep watch data and see new trailers, etc?

Top 250 Movies
I’m 67 years old, and some of the Movies are a lot older than Me. No One remembers Movies from 1926. But, I own The Wizard of Oz, because it was viewed when the Family got together. I’d say out of 250 Movies, at least 75 should be removed. Unless You’re 100 years old, Birth of a Nation 1916, You wouldn’t have seen it, 100 year old movie 🎥

Nothing but a data grab
Used to be a really great source for tv & movie information. Now, you have to sign in to see reviews & other things. You know this is just so they can sell more of your information.

Give Gaming More Prominence
One thing I’d really like to see improved is the way the app promotes video games. The app does a great job of showcasing films and TV shows, but gaming doesn’t seem to get the same level of attention.
I’d love to see more games featured throughout the app, whether that’s new releases, popular games, upcoming titles or recommendations based on what you’ve played and rated.
Even better, I think having a dedicated gaming section on the Home Screen would be a fantastic addition. It would make it much easier for gamers to discover new titles and would give games the same level of visibility that films and TV already receive.
Considering how popular gaming is, I think it deserves to be a much bigger part of the app. I’d personally love to open the app and see not only what’s new in film and television, but also what’s happening in the gaming world.

Why Remove “Preferred Services” Sorting?
I love IMDB it’s my go-to for logging and discovering movies but I used to be able to sort my watchlist by movies that are on my preferred services. Now I cannot and I have to click through every movie to see what it’s streaming on.
Flashing lights, page jumping, hazardous
Wow, I can't believe what this app has became. Using this app, with all of its hiccups, flashes, jumping, etc. is bad for humans health. SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!
Five star weekend
It was so bad I was annoyed and turned it off . The script was unrealistic- if a woman had found out her husband had been unfaithful she would have angry with him . The woman taking all the culpability is unrealistic and wrong . Yet again the woman wears the blame

In the new version, it’s too many annoying ads that distract from actual app using experience.

As the title says, there are way too many ads within this application. I don't see an in-app purchase option to remove them.
Turn off the Walmart ads
You barely skim the Walmart ad & it auto opens the Walmart app. Ridiculous. If you touch it scrolling it opens again. STOP THIS. You had a great app until the ads, especially wall-hole started being completely in our face. Just stop it. Who shops at that dumpster fire of humanity anyway. The people that go to Walmart don’t need ads & people like me will never go there. Stop.

Rubbish update
IMDb was updated and is so much worse than before. When you search the box appears at the bottom and is see thru making it difficult to use.
When you search for a person it only shows a small amount of films/tv programs they have been in,
When you search for a film or program you only see about 20 names in the cast list.
Why have you messed up what was a good app?

What happened???
Why do I now have to login to view anything? And why can’t I see where a certain show is on a streaming service anymore? This used to be such a great app!

Pro 1. This is the largest and most thorough existing database of media information. Its integration and linking is superb.
Pro 2. Users can create and manage personal and/or public lists.
Pro 3. Filtering and sorting options within searches and lists are plentiful and work well.
Con 1. “Where To Watch” streaming info is not reliable nor is there a way to filter by a streamer’s tiered plans.
Con 2. While there have been improvements, tracking your place in a series is still manual and repetitive.
Con 3. No way to mark, view and manage “not interested” titles.
Pro 2. Users can create and manage personal and/or public lists.
