Helpful budgeting
Money hungry app and too much on-boarding also barely works
Response from developer
Hey Jason — thanks for the candid review. You're right that banks and credit card apps have spending trackers. They've had them for years. And yet impulse spending & overspending keeps growing. That's because tracking isn't the problem — understanding why you spend is. impause is a behavioral & psychological approach to spend management, not another dashboard of charts. On the paywall: we charge because we don't sell user financial data, run ads in the app, or take affiliate kickbacks on the products you're trying to stop buying. That costs money. The 2-week trial exists so you can actually use the product before deciding, and you can cancel anytime directly in your Apple subscription settings — we don't control that flow. Fair point on onboarding feeling long. We're working on it.

Game changer
The first app that actually changed my spending habits
impause is different!
Instead of just telling me where my money went, it helped me understand why I was spending in the first place. Rating my purchases, seeing my regret patterns, and working through the short psychology-based lessons genuinely made me pause before buying.
It doesn’t feel like a spreadsheet. It feels like a coach.
For the first time, I’m not just tracking my money — I’m actually changing my habits. If you struggle with impulse spending, this is the app that finally makes it click.
