Workaround for bug
I love this app for photos! Immersive. After the last big iOS update, I couldn’t log in as others have noted. Completely deleting the app and reinstalling it fresh worked to let me log in no problem with saved password.
Its better feeling than the main app
My main gripe is its way too zoomed in for the feed, more options like a grid would be nice, the profile view is a lot nice
I was able to login and use it fine unlike others in old outdated reviews, so ill bump it to a 5 stars

Doesn’t work on iOS 18.4.1
Used to be Ok. Doesn’t work after update.

Same as others have said. The sign in sheet never actually passes anything to the app, so the app is unusable
Nice Pixelfed Client
This is a nice, clean Pixelfed client.
Just What I Needed
After deleting all Meta accounts and apps I was looking for a place to see and share photos. I found PixelFed and the stock app for it. It felt like my new home, but Impressia really sealed the deal. Wonderful app for the platform. Photos front and center. I love it!

Almost there
Mostly nice. Like the image-centric UI. Issues so far is that there’s no way to overlay like counts and comment counts onto the images in the feed. You have to open each post to see that. Also, you can zoom an image but not pan, which seems silly. When you zoom it only zooms the centre.
Pretty basic but, still good!
This app is a really great Insta alternative and it’s very easy to use!
Smooth design, functional, everything I need
Excellent Pixelfed client. Visually aesthetic and streamlined, and has everything I’d expect in a client. Worth installing it, at least just to see if you like it better than Pixelfed’s native client.

A beautiful, clean, slick interface. Works flawlessly. This should be the default pixelated app.
Doesn’t do anything
Opens a web view of Pixelfed.social on launch. That’s it.
App can’t handle 2FA accounts
Log In only works if account has NOT enabled 2FA.
Looks lovely, but login never completes
I’d like to use this app based on what I’ve seen in the previews. Alas, even though I can log in, the credential sheet never passes me on to the “this app wants permission to…” accept/deny page. The only option is to cancel the login attempt, and the app does nothing after that.
Can’t log in
Unable to log in. Username/password credentials work on the website, but the app says the password is wrong. Sign in with mastodon says it works (an email comes from mastodon saying it was successful) but the app doesn’t show as logged in.
“Contact and admin” if there’s an issue, but we won’t let you know how to do that
For some reason I can’t make an account because my email address is already in use on the platform. This must be a common “bug” (bot farm?) because it’s addressed on the FAQ with an instruction to “contact the admins.” THEY GIVE YOU NO WAY TO CONTACT THESE SO-CALLED ADMINS.
I’m calling this a scam. Somehow they have an active account using my email and provide no way to address this known issue.

Alternative feed
Very happy to have found this app for Pixelfed. As I, and hopefully many more, flee from the maniacal social media scene, I still wanted to share and view artwork.
Impressia is great for the art fix. One comment is the hashtag functionality doesn’t seem operable.
Aside from that, I will highly recommend everyone jump ship and join the fediverse.
