Needs work

I like the idea, but the mouth looks unrealistic when talking, also it’s the vocabulary is very limited . And it froze up on me.

Response from developer

Hello Mykidarestars, The technology that matches visemes to phonemes for generative text-to-speech that does not need to be connected to data or cloud service is currently in development. Our team has been working on creating accurate articulation that will articulate text-to-speech and will implement that within the next few months. Core vocabulary and general fringe words have been included in all categories. We have provided the ability to add unlimited vocabulary via gifs, videos, pictures or emojis. We also have Visual Language that uses AI to interpret any pictures and provide instant vocabulary to the user. Given that InnerVoice has both AI and a talking avatar, we are on the forefront of technology and will continue to update with the newest most beneficial tech available. If there is an occasional glitch, please close app and reopen. Also, be sure to update app and device when available. Thank you for your interest in InnerVoice, Lois

Confused with version 6

Did the price just go way up on this with the new release? When I bought this last week my impression was that I was paying a one-time fee.

Please explain.

Wonderful and engaging AAC

This is an amazing alternative to the typical AAC app! The video model is easy to create and a great way to engage the user. All you have to do is take a picture of your kid and it will create a model that will provide verbal models!

Not Impressed

My son who is on the spectrum usually likes seeing himself and was not interested in the app at all. I wish they had a free version to try out because I feel like I just threw 50 dollars in the trash. I tried contacting them about the app too and received no response.

I'm a behavior analyst...

And some of my families (and me, honestly) can't fork over hundreds of dollars that other communication programs cost. Inner voice is a great value. No, an amazing value. And it's changing the life of a nonverbal 22 year old because she can ask for specific items that just don't easily get named in sign. It doesn't have all the functions of proloquo, like selecting pictures an rearranging them, and the folders are a bit clunky to manage, but it allows you to use photos or import drawings to create buttons for manding. The prompting feature is promising for teaching mine/yours and other difficult to prompt phrases, but I haven't needed it yet. Thank you autism speaks for getting this app out into the world!

Fantastic Results

My son has used an AAC app for a few months now, he has never really been interested in using them, however inner voice kept his interest for over an hour. The animated avatars really held his attention. He was actually starting a holding conversations with and my wife. This app has the best technology has to offer!! Great results

Special dad, The animated avatars were designed for just that purpose -- to keep interest and encourage communication. I am delighted that your son has found InnerVoice captivating, Lois

AMAZING

loving the app! i really like the combinations of words you can do with this app . its very much worth it !

Engaging, fun and useful!!!

I am sold on this app. My grandson used his text to speech only when he really had to. Mostly to ask for a drink, food or some other kind of want. This app with its avatar integration has changed the way my grandson uses his text to speech. He has animated some of his favorite heroes and holds conversations with me. It's no longer I'm hungry or I'm thirsty. We actually talk about things like what his super heroes can do and why etc… The point is, he is really starting to communicate because of this app, Kudos!!

Love this app.....

Got this app for my grandson who has trouble speaking, and it has helped him. My other grandchildren play and interact with him with the app, and they love it.. A big two thumbs up for this app.....

Absolutely wonderful!!

If I could give this app 10 stars I would. Thank you so much for answering my prayers and for making a difference at a price everyone can afford.

This is Fantastic

I added a Barbie avatar for my daughter. She played all afternoon. This is the first time she has been excited about communication. She has shown everyone in the family how Barbie talks and is trying to talk herself. Little Mermaid tomorrow!! Huge Thank you!
