Can’t get it to connect.

Just bought this today and can’t get it hooked up to my Wifi. Very frustrating, I don’t recommend.
Poor stability.
The app is cumbersome but works when ignoring that. Updates are sparse and my Smart Pet Feeder (2nd Gen) unpredictability resets after being online for any where between a few minutes and a few days. For the last six months there have been no firmware updates, and technical support stopped responding after the initial recommendations to umbind and rebind.

For that price I expect it to be working right away. NEVER BEEN ABLE TO CONNECT IT TO MY PHONE.

Device with Camera
Wow, a full-time ‘job’ trying to connect our INSTACHEW (with camera)! We have newer Samsung phone and iPhone 11. Checked our Wifi password, it’s correct. We have followed every step from the good people at INSTACHEW and viewed their videos (Samsung video is older version). Some steps are missing that we see on the App. A QR code appears, held phone to device camera and nothing! After the log in screen appears, either we are asked for our wifi name (auto fills) enter password, choose device, (we have the grey updated version) or screen asks to connect to PETWANT. Connection ‘sometimes’ begins...so the steps not consistent. Failed connection numerous attempts... awful! Will try calling INSTACHEW next. Hope the toll-free # works! Other than that if still no luck, the device will be returned to our local PetSmart...sadly! We thought the camera would be fun. In essence, there must be issues with the App :(
