Just terrible - DONT USE PARTIAL AMOUNT
The process of redeeming is awful. Redeeming a partial amount does not work. It will use the entire amount. Manager settled up with cash but that won’t always be the case. If you can’t redeem in full, don’t use this terrible horrible no good very bad app.
Do something else
If you want to give someone a gift, I highly suggest you find one that does NOT require them to download this annoying, clumsy app!!!
Broken and could not retrieve my gift card
Received a gift for a restaurant and was forced to download the app but the redeem in the app didn’t work. We are down 100$.

Please don’t use this service. I got a gift card via InstaGift and it has been unreasonably difficult to use. Why do I have to create a InstaGift login to access my gift card? Why does the provided code not work on the merchant’s website? Will the it work if I use it in-store? Who knows. InstaGift is needlessly complicated, unclear, and pointless.

Very awkward app to try to use at the restaurant
We received a lovely gift card to a nice restaurant for Christmas. Unfortunately, the gift required us to download this app to access the gift amount. The app is clumsy at best. After signing up for an account, and successfully retrieving our gift into the account, I logged out. I later decided to sign back in to make sure it would work at the restaurant. The app no longer recognized my password, and required me to enter a new password which I did. My gift card had disappeared and there was no record of it except for the printout from our giftee, and no record of it in the app. I spent the entire afternoon trying to contact the app developers and rescue our gift card. It finally worked late in the afternoon, so I thought we were OK. I even performed one last sign in to make sure it was working before we went to the restaurant. It worked! Fast forward to the end of our meal at the restaurant, and imaging our chagrin when I was unable to access my account on the app! After much angst and embarrassment, the restaurant decided to accept our paper printout detailing our gift. I hope I never have to use this app again.
