Clunky - not user friendly
I cannot understand why this App has such good reviews when it seems very clunky to me.
1 If you want to create collage photos you cannot select photos you have already uploaded into the app or Fuji’s own sample photos - or if you can my family & I have been unable to find out how to do this. So you have to go back into your photos and find them all over again!
2 You can’t save any editing preferences. To print good photos I’ve found you need to up the contrast and saturation to about 3/4 of the way along the slider. And I’d like to be able to save that setting rather than re-do it every time I print.
3 You can’t just switch from Design Mode to Simple Mode once you are in print editing mode. So it’s impossible to see how an identically edited photo would print in the 2 modes.
4 So far I’ve been very unimpressed with the printer (print+ new in 2026) and I don’t think this clunky app helps at all.
5 You can’t edit pictures off-line from the printer save them up and print them later. I wanted to do a whole batch of guest photos with frames stickers etc to print them out in a batch later. But you can’t save the photo unless you print it. So if you run out of film you are stuck.
6 AR is very unstable and fiddly. It drove even my patient sibling to distraction. And again there’s no way to pick a photo from those you’ve uploaded or Fuji’s sample photos to be a background.

The best for small back up photos.

I love this so much it’s perfect for when you need a quick little gift. I do wish the charging would go faster. When you finish the pictures they come out beautiful. I also wish it would let you keep it on for a long time when the battery is low because sometime it doesn’t stay on if it’s under 20% but this is a very good idea for younger kids

this app works seamlessly with the physical instax printer! i’ve gifted so many photo memories and they’re always received with the biggest smile because it’s a nice nostalgic touch and having a physical photo just brings an extra oomph of love. you can edit the images in the app too if you want to tweak anything. i’ve never had any connection issues with my printer+app and i’ve had it for over 3 years. get it! have fun with it! scrapbook the photos, the possibilities are plentiful.

my favorite thing about this printer app is that as long as it’s connected, it will always print perfectly unlike other printers where you have to worry about the ink or the paper quality or streaking or things of that nature the mini Insta link always prints perfect. Plus I love all the cute stickers and adjustments and edits that you can make with in the app! absolutely worth it.
