absolutely useless
QR code won’t scan. App activates the camera light which results in glare from the label. Won’t clarify image when getting closer due to wrong camera selected. Go to enter manual details, filled out all three fields correctly and the Submit button never even enables. Worthless trash.
Charges $40/year to use products you own
Insteon products are 3x more expensive than competitor products and the competition doesn't charge subscription fees. Insteon was free to use when I bought their products. Now they charge an annual subscribed. I'm really glad I don't have too many of their devices.

I have been at the loading login for 3hours. I uninstalled it and re installed it. I restarted my network. I restarted my phone. I tried on a different device. The app will not work. I downloaded the OWLR app and my camera isn’t compatible with it. I tried the other Insteon app but the password will not go through.

NEVER WORKS
We have had the switches in our house for about 5 years. When they work it’s great with Alexa but it doesn’t work most of the time. It is currently not working and will not even log in. Why is it they are one of the most expensive products on the market and doesn’t work. Doesn’t even waste your time or money. Now I have to replace all the switches in my house GREAT.

Insteon abandoned their cloud without warning. This m app and the ENTIRE Insteon system, is now useless. Thanks Insteon!

Insteon has officially gone bankrupt. Look elsewhere
For those of you who don’t know, Insteon has closed its doors and is no longer supporting its products. The company has filed for bankruptcy as their plans to be acquired by another company have failed. I’ve used Insteon products for years and now am in the process of ripping out all my switches and converting to Lutron Caseta.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for smart home controls. Insteon has left all of us in the lurch due to bad management.

Everything just stoped working.

THE WORST! DO NOT BUY
INSTEON DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE (April 2022). THE FOUNDERS ON LINKEDIN HAVE EVEN REMOVED INSTEON FROM THEIR CAREERS. It’s probably not worth their money to keep the servers up so they are abandoning it and leaving customers like myself to have their product not work from now on. DO NOT BUY ANY INSTEON PRODUCT! Buy anything else seriously.

Not working
Invested in this platform, now it hasn’t been working for nearly a week. Reached out to support and no response. Several family members are using Insteon in their homes as well, and had the same issue start at about the same time. When we attempt to login to the app it just says error.
Service behind this is dead
Sunday, 2022 April 17—Since the 14th, this app no longer lets me log in to control my hub. The hub’s timers are still working, turning lights on/off per schedule but I can’t do anything from this app
The diagnostics are that the server can’t be contacted. Although the Insteon home page is still up, it’s link to Service is dead and the customer service 800 number does not work
News says the developer is now part of Nokia but I have not heard anything about any intention to maintain the Insteon function
