It’s a real pain
Constant log outs for no reason whatsoever and then demanding you do stuff to enable logging back in again with no prior warning - this is hands down the most unstable and ridiculously managed investment app I’ve used.
Left after 2 months
Didn’t like the inflexible direct debit dates, the interface, the frequency of updates, the response times to secure messages, the level of detail, the ease of use, the variety of funds… I also hated that I moved an amount to test if I liked things to be charged £5.99 per month, this shows a poor value for the smaller investor, the rest was left in HL, only stuck with II for a couple of months, not impressed at all. Incidentally I have left HL now too, invested everything elsewhere

I have to use the recovery code every time my phones login expires. I never receive the promised text messages.
Portfolio Performance Reporting
There is no way to show the performance of your fund versus its benchmark which is crucial if you wish to monitor whether the fund is doing its job or not, whether it’s an active or passive fund. Very poor transparency on this matter. GUI searching for funds/ETFs is also very poorly designed.

This is my most trusted platform that gets better as we go forward. Easy to use and with all the historical trades and statements readily available. No need to call anyone.

Pretty inaccurate reporting, sometimes values update overnight, then sometimes they don’t. App is down most Saturdays for “maintenance”
App ok, customer support bad, Dont pay dividends on time.
I've held some shares for years, get dividends regularly, until June this year. I'm still waiting for my dividends more than a week after the payment date.

Seriously lacking in some areas particularly dividends dates and value, bugs me that I receive a new pripps msg but no link to the new document.

Password Confusion
Been through hoops to sort out Passwords recently…lots of “server errors”.
Pretty decent but
Absolute PITA on iOS as it keeps logging you out after a few mins and you have to log in again constantly with user/ pwd which presents a security risk in itself - Face ID would be very useful
