About

in+out-O-mator — your (almost) everything tracker. Track what matters to you, in exactly the detail you want. in+out-O-mator turns meals, symptoms, medications and health metrics into clear, connected insights — so you can finally see what affects how you feel. WHY in+out-O-mator • Track anything: symptoms, wellbeing, nutrition, medication, or your own custom parameters. • See connections: log waypoints — a medication change, a holiday, a doctor's visit — and watch how they shape your values over time. • Your entries are stored on your device, protected by iOS file encryption. Optionally, encrypted iCloud sync keeps your private data up to date on all your devices (photos and voice notes are not synced). No account or sign-up needed, no ads, no external advertising or analytics services — and we don't sell your data. The few online connections the app makes are listed in our privacy policy. • Completely free, no paywall: track everything without a subscription or hidden upgrade wall. NUTRITION, DONE RIGHT • Scan barcodes for instant nutrition data via Open Food Facts. • Search a comprehensive food database with over 7,000 foods — now in your language: find foods by their localized names too. When our German database comes up short, USDA FoodData Central fills the gap automatically. • Build recipes, log meals, and track macro- and micronutrients. • On-device photo recognition: snap your meal and let AI identify the ingredients — it runs offline on your phone. Your meal photos are only sent if you choose in the settings to contribute them for training. • Photo estimates without a portion check can underestimate some meals by up to 345 kcal, a NUTRITION 2026 study found — that's why we always ask you to confirm the amount, so you can trust the number. • Want full certainty instead of an estimate? Enter an exact measured weight or volume for your food entries — a fully objective alternative to a serving-size guess. A DASHBOARD THAT'S YOURS • Build dashboards from configurable tiles — set goals, series tracking, reminders and more, all in one place with clear explanations. • Alarms for medication and events, powered by AlarmKit: they ring through Focus Mode and the silent switch (alarm permission required). • Track time with start/pause/stop timers, right from a tile. • Long-press any tile to jump straight to its history and analysis. • Simple Mode for a clean start; Advanced Mode when you want full control. APPLE HEALTH, YOUR WAY • Choose exactly which vital signs and measurements to sync — steps, heart rate, blood pressure and more. • You decide which Apple Health data the app may access. DIETARY PREFERENCES • Set how you eat with a flexible model from vegan to omnivore, plus your restrictions and intolerances. COMMUNITY (OPTIONAL) • Discover and share ready-made tracking templates — no account needed, you appear under a random ID. in+out-O-mator works on iPhone and iPad. Note: food and medication support is based on data originating in Germany. Adding to and filling any remaining gaps is planned for the future.

What's New in IOOM

1.19

October 23, 2026

New in 1.19: iCloud sync is here as an optional beta. It is off by default and you switch it on yourself in Settings. Then your setup stays up to date on every device that uses the same Apple Account: entries, groups and parameters including their icons, dashboard tiles, templates, medications with their boxes, supplies and alarms, and your settings. We tested sync with automated tests and in the simulator, but not with two real devices at the same time, and a backup is created before you turn it on. Before you start, update all your devices to this version or newer. Once data has synced, it can't be recalled from iCloud or other devices, so the app walks you through it step by step. You need to switch alarms on once on each device so they ring there. Don't change the same information on two devices at once. Photos, voice notes and drafts stay on the device where you created them. Also new: Routines & Medications now has its own place in Settings. Tap "New Routine" to link steps and alarms into one routine and see its progress at a glance. Fixes and polish: a crash in the recipe filter bar is gone, the recipe search always shows its type filters, duplicate medications are merged correctly, the landscape preview in the dashboard editor matches your real layout, exporting no longer crashes on iPad, help icons are readable in dark mode, and loading a template now tells you what happened — the same template is no longer added twice. Thank you for tracking with in+out-O-mator — keep telling us what matters to you.
