Legitimately great
Truly great app. If you have some POE cameras, or generic IP cams that advertise an address over your network and you don’t want to buy a cheapo NVR from the store, this is the app to get. I also use SecuritySpy on Mac, which is also awesome, and I think this app could replace SecuritySpy for the times when you don’t have a spare Mac or don’t want to buy a Mac since IPCams only needs something like an Apple TV to act as a hub. I love seeing powerful apps like this run completely with mobile hardware.

L’app funziona bene ma non c’è il playback
Tutto bene ma manca il playback inoltre non c’è modo di contattare l’assistenza per capire il motivo di tale mancanza.
Not for free use
I’ve been using the free version; each and every update seems to reduce the capability for non-subscribers. I get it, developers like to get paid. But updates continually reduce the number of cameras that can be used, and I’m afraid to update again fearing that I won’t get any use at all. It’s a shame, because it’s a good app.

Truly amazing for a mobile app
I work in construction and part of the work we do is running ethernet everywhere and installing POE cameras. Now, the usual solution is something like an off-the-shelf NVR from Lorex or other.
However, it’s 2026, and NVRs and the software they ship with are no longer acceptable, so I started looking into apps I could run on either a Mac or Apple TV.
The obvious solution on Mac is SecuritySpy, which is an awesome app. However, SS becomes expensive if you have to install a Mac at every job since it’s a hardware licensed app, not account based.
IPCams, however, really does compete with SS in most ways. It’s Apple ID based so you can use it with any Apple hardware where you’re signed in and you only need an Apple TV, which is way less expensive than a Mac (works great on Mac, too). It’s also a simpler UI, which makes sense for iPhone/iPad, and that’s a definite upside. Additionally, it stores to iCloud so you don’t need to pay for a separate mechanical storage drive (that will probably fail anyway).
This app really is a no-brainer for people who need a system to monitor their house or a simple business. It’s very affordable and very easy to set up.

Loading and installing
Tap the icon and it goes into a clock type counting down loading and then installing. Then nothing. Click agin and same thing again. Nothing opens nothing happens repeating clock count down with loading and installing

very slow to load camera
amcrest makes good cameras but their software is the worst i’ve ever seen. I switched to Arlo cameras which are cheaper and comes with good software.
Excellent app.
This app is great! I have it installed on Mac mini acting as a hub, my iPhone to view the cameras remotely, and a MBP when I’m home. I’m using different brand ONVIF cameras and this app recognized and added them easily. I also have two proprietary models that I’m having difficulty adding, but that’s mostly operator error, not the software’s fault. If you just want to use the software as a viewer, it’s very good at that as well. I look forward to many years of use.

Not Ready For Prime Time
I purchased the Yearly Plus version since the description hit all the features I’ve been looking for. Fortunately, I have a weeks trial before I get billed. It’s looking like a cancellation for me. The user interface is the most unintuitive app I’ve ever seen. Nothing works and there is no support contact list and there are no instructions. Maybe someday it will get better.

I try to open the app and I’m locked behind a paywall I was told wasn’t gonna be there. At least say this on the AppStore you add
No cellular data?
Why it won’t allow connections over cellular is beyond me. Why penalize those of us that have a VPN and port forwarding and can do this with many other apps? I was excited on the trial that it was able to stream all of my brand of IP cameras from several generations as no other app seems to be able to. I knew there was a catch. Then there’s the expensive yearly fee that others have complained about. I was almost ready to pay it as I’m getting desperate, but without cell support, it’s useless to me. And no, I’m not setting up a hub so you can squeeze that data from me, too.

I couldn't try it out to see if it would even work with an old cam before a screen popped up asking me to agree to a trial then $60/yr. I'm not taking that risk. I'll agree after I can at least know that it works!

Appli bien faite, détection automatique des caméras, même multimarques, sur le réseau domestique, paramètres nombreux. Il est vraiment regrettable que hors wifi l’appli ne fonctionne pas, et comme tout est en anglais il n’est pas facile de s’y retrouver. Donc aucun intérêt.
