I love the fact that the app helps to monitor your travel journey everyday.

Scam

I registered every trip correctly and completed the surveys for each journey starting from home, yet they refused to provide the promised £20 voucher. The app also drained my phone battery heavily during the whole 14-day period. Very disappointing experience after spending time and effort participating properly. I do not recommend this app or survey program.

Minor glitches

I installed the app as part of a 2 week-long survey.

After a week, the app stopped recording activity. I tried resetting but this didn’t work so I contacted support who responded within 24 hours, advising me to uninstall/reinstall. I initially didn’t want to do this in case previously recorded information was erased but they confirmed it wouldn’t be.

The survey ended & I was concerned the glitch would invalidate my participation but I received my reward within a few days, so I’m happy!

Heap of junk

First journey is A to B. Second journey is C to D. Even a complete fool can see that if B and C are hundreds of miles apart, something is missing. Junk.

Minimal effort for £20

Sceptical signing up but with minimal effort provided I kept the app open at all times in the background and completed the short daily survey, after 2 weeks I have a £20 Amazon voucher - thank you!

GeoQuest invitation £20 for 2 weeks

I was invited to take part in the GeoQuest survey, the survey stated if I had the app running for 2 weeks I would receive a reward of £20. Well fast forward about 4 weeks, no reward and this app is draining my phone battery. When can I expect payment so I can turn the app off?

Good App however Drains your battery

Great app and get paid promptly after desired period. However it is slow and does drain your battery. And sometimes it misses journeys or combines separate journeys

Doesn’t work

Downloaded this to take part in a 2 week survey. Has all the settings right and location setting was enabled.
Received a message from IPSOS after the 2 weeks to say that location tracking was not picking up my journeys yet I completed al surveys daily plus the final survey. Useless so drained my battery for 2 weeks for nothing

Not fit for purpose

Using as part of a 3 week IPSOS survey. This app is very buggy. Despite having my phone on, carried with me at all times and in a good signal area, it fails to record trips. To correct this I have tried to add trips manually, however this is infuriating as despite placing the curser in the desired location for a start or end point, it randomly places these elsewhere. A lack of detailed instructions just adds to the lack of thought and support that has gone into this. The value and accuracy of the data collected must be questionable.

We apologise for the problems you've experienced. The app is designed for passive tracking, and manual trip entry is not a task requirement. We are continuously investigating these issues, which often appear to be isolated and potentially device specific. Very frustrating

This is one of the buggiest apps I have ever used. It records trips when there are none being made or doesn’t end a trip; cuts out mid-trip; won’t start a trip; sometimes won’t allow me to add trips; tells me to restart phone and app but the problem persists… I am trying to do a survey, but the app is not fit for purpose.

The app is designed to work passively in the background to capture your journeys, so you are not required to manually start or add trips. If I don’t go out for one day and confirm I didn’t the next day it won’t work have emailed about it but no reply

Battery hog

The app itself works reasonably well. It’s a littlebuggy. However, it’s a large drain on the battery. So unless the pay rate is good, it may not be worth your time. Be aware as you are likely to need to top up battery during the day, so Currie a charger cable or power pack.

IPSOS Great, App Irritating

I tested this for two weeks; the company organising the test were very helpful and paid promptly, so I would be happy to participate again, especially if it helps to make improvements.
The App drained my phone battery quite a lot more than I expected, so I had to be careful to ensure it was recharged before going anywhere.
I found it quite tricky to ensure that each journey was registered, quite often only one leg would be and I couldn’t find a way to add information manually.
The daily survey was easy to complete

Easy app

I found the app really easy to use and when I did for get my phone accidentally I put it on when I got home, the surveys were simple too. It didn’t cause much battery issues like other apps can do. I’m really happy I did this and would participate again!

Easy to use

I just finished the 2 weeks and got my gift card the next day after completing the last survey. Nothing too difficult just had the app open the whole time as it recorded my movement. Only downside is it kills the phone battery quickly. Still would recommend for a nice reward.
