About
Iqra is a focused, distraction-free app for memorizing the Quran through repetition — the way scholars have taught it for centuries.
Pick any range of ayahs — by Surah, by Juz, or by Mushaf page — choose your reciter, and let the app loop the verses continuously until they're committed to memory. And when you want to listen or read instead of loop, Iqra follows you there too.
CORE FEATURES
• Loop any range of ayahs continuously, with optional per-ayah repeats (×3, ×5, ×7, ×10, or any custom count)
• Listen mode — play any range and just listen, hands-free
• Read mode — a clean, page-by-page reader that saves your place, so you can pick up exactly where you left off
• Read along — the verses flow like a Mushaf and glide with the recitation as it plays
• Hasanat tracking — every ayah you memorize, listen to, or read adds up, shown by day, week, and lifetime, with a chart of where your good deeds come from
• Choose from four world-renowned reciters: Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary, Abdurrahmaan As-Sudais, and Abdul Basit Murattal
• Selection by Surah (with Arabic + English search), by Juz (1–30), or by Mushaf page (1–604)
• Authentic Mushaf-style typography with the KFGQPC Uthmanic Hafs font
• Adjustable Arabic font size (20–44 pt) for any vision needs
• Lock-screen and Control Center playback controls
• Background audio — keep memorizing while your phone is locked
• Save named bookmarks for daily routines ("Morning portion", "Yaseen first half")
• Resume where you left off — for both listening and reading — with one tap
• Streak counter — tracks your daily memorization habit
• Sleep timer (5 / 10 / 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 min) for night memorization
• Dark mode — deep emerald and gold for night reading
• Single-language interface — choose Arabic or English, and the whole app follows it
• Offline playback — audio caches locally after first play
• No ads. No accounts. No personal data collected.
WHO IS THIS FOR
• Students of the Quran working on hifz (memorization)
• Adults returning to revise portions they once memorized
• Children learning their first surahs
• Anyone who wants short Quran on loop in the background
ABOUT THE TEXT AND AUDIO
The Quran text is sourced from the Tanzil project, served via alquran.cloud, in standard Uthmani script. Audio is sourced from everyayah.com — high-quality public-domain recordings of internationally recognized reciters.
The Mushaf font is KFGQPC Uthmanic Hafs, the same typeface used in printed Mushafs from the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex in Madinah.
PRIVACY
Iqra has no accounts to create and collects no personal data. It uses only privacy-first, anonymous usage analytics — to understand whether the app helps people return and keep memorizing. It never records what you read, listen to, or memorize, contains no advertising, and never tracks you across other apps or websites. Audio files cache locally on your device for offline playback. Your last session and bookmarks are stored only on your phone.
